Yeah do not EVER pour boiling water on a bong or any glass for that matter no matter how hot it is. You have to gradually raise the temperature to prevent cracking or shattering, it's best to just use hot tap water.
One way to break it , I’ve used boiling water before but it never broken the fake Amg still 5-7mm thick . It doesn’t clean it much I just use iso n salt now on , taking a t break til weather isn’t so cold . Hope you find something much better!!! If it sucked so bad I understand breaking it unless someone would had bought it . What’s the replacement look like ??
Boiling wate r is never a good idea, if it doesn't break it will cause hairline fractures that will lead to breakage. Unless you are gradually heating the glass in the water you should never use boiling water. Boiling your pipes is usually fine because you are gradually raising the temperature of the glass at the same rate as the water. Pouring boiling water onto a piece that isn't the same temperature will cause temperature shock.
even in borosilicate glass ? Larger bongs too large to fit in a pan / pot should never be boiled then , yeah great advice !!! My base plate would melt offf if I did that , not sure how much temperature gorillas glue can handle . Don’t have a 15” inches tall pot , Not worth the effort either.. Maybe for small pipes boiling is fine ,
