i’ve never had a bong before so i’m not sure if this is normal but the bowl and downstem have a rough texture so when i try to pull the bowl piece out it gets caught. someone told me to apply a very small amount of vaseline so that it would easily slide in and out without the whole downstem coming out with it but i still gets caught. tips?
It might be that it's a new bong and it has to be "broken in", but that's only a guess. If you can get your hands on 2500 grit sandpaper you might be able to smooth out the stem/slide. If it were me I'd take it back if you can or at a minimum go baxk to their shop and bitch during a high traffic time. They'll be afraid that other customers will hear your arguments and never come back. Good luck.
I have the same problem with mine. Good idea sanding it. Make sure the sandpaper grit is a material that's harder than glass.
i doubt its the smoke shop making the bongs but purchasing them from a distributer as a resell item. so as far as it being the smoke shops fault its not, the manufacture made a shit product . So the idea of running customers off is rather retarded. If they care about their customer base enough they will work with him to replace the item or something of that nature. then depending on the price of the bong could be the reasoning behind the issue as well. being their first bong i doubt they spent over 100 dollars which good bongs arent cheap. i bought a 15$ dab rig my first time just to try it was a real pos rig. cheap bongs dont go through the same tests as they are mass produced smaller cheaper bongs can lead to defects in the products
Pics would help but slides/downstems tend to have a bit of resistance but it's not supposed to be difficult. Just a good fit so when you slide it it makes that satisfying noise (u know what I'm talking about) kinda like taking a sword out in a movie.
