Sup GC, theirs been alot of talk about wooden pipes/bowls so i figured i would make my own. Directions are as follows : 1.Go outside and cut a branch thats about the width of a large cigar and the length of a cig. 2. Drill hole length-wise in the cigar shaped branch piece, make the hole go about 3/4 of the way. 3. Drill a second hole width wise on the top of the branch and make sure it meets with the longer hole. 4. Get a sharp knife and scrape off all the outer bark(you dont have to, it just tastes bad if you leave it. 5. Fill the one hitter up with some nice bud and get lifted. Some pics:
Yeah i hit it last night after i posted this. Smooth as hell. Its actually more of a 2 or 3 hitter. The best part about it was after the bowl was lit, i could just hold it like a joint and just puff away. took 3 bowls to get me gone.
My advice is to sand it down it'll feel a lot more smoother in your hand. You could also try carving some things into that with a pen knife to jazz it up real nice! Still looks pretty sweet.
Tis very nice but i have an idea!!! what if you thinned out the stem and then shaped the bowl part a litte it would look better i think haha not trying to put your piece down its deff. better than ive done just speaking my mind...
You should totally sandpaper it and create a smoother rounder bowl. I was looking at the second picture and I'm like. "I don't wanna be smoking wood :/"
I use stems, the bowl is so small screens don't really fit. I just break of a large piece of stem and shove it in the bowl at an angle so it leaves small holes for the smoke to go through. Works like a charm, and if you leave the stem longer than the bowl, you can just pull the stem from the handle and it removes all the cashed out bud. And if you think it burns the wood on the inside, it doesn't. Well atleast not anymore. After the first 2 or 3 uses a layer of carbon builds up and pretty much forms a protective barrier. Also gives the smoke a nice flavor. Peace, god bless.
