    How is the plastic releasing fumes if it doesn't burn at all?

    make it into a waterfall bong or something dude.

    that bong downstem is a pen,

    its heating up the end and releasing some fumes.

    they wont kill you but cant be good for you

    It won't kill you but it's not healthy. Use like a old wine bottle and just drill a hole. Much better.
