  1. Greetings growers,
I have been away from this forum for a good while for various reasons but my desire for herb better than I can buy and my love for the Cannabis plant has brought me back again. Almost 3 years ago I decided to start growing again and at the same time found KNF and it really instigated me. About 8 years ago was the last time I grew but I grew my first plant was at around 12, 1980ish. heheeh I was a stoner from the start. I decided to share my journey the rest of this winter growing a few buds and making seeds and seedlings for next years outdoor. I just cracked some Mesa Cookies from Miles Filipelli and I have some Juicy Fruit (m) x Purple Punch and over a Blackberry Kush seeds I am growing out to see if I can find something fun. I will be pollinating a few branches here and there and at the same time growing out some clones I have and love. Soil is a blend of soil I gather from where I toss organic matter and brew waste veg scraps etc to the chickens and pigs and promix or roots blend depending on whats convenient I amend that with a bit ok IMO4 or 5 or both used soil from previous grows if available azomite or other rock dust , kelp meal, neem meal, worm castings, pumice, frass, dolomite lime and alfalfa if I have some. Once a plant is settled in I will top dress with a mix of IMO4 and or 5 and super charged biochar I make from cannabis stems and then mulch - my mulch now is a mix of green waste I chipped last year and had in a big bin mixed with chicken bedding and poop. It is sort of semi decomposed and teaming with predator mites ....heheheh I am experimenting with mixing gro kashi in with IMO layer. Oh the castings I put in are always part my own and contain worms so all my pots are alive with biology. I look forwards to sharing my grow with you all and hope to learn something along the way and make some beautiful medicine to keep the pain of my back and this crazy world at bay.

  3. I culled the first male today - no resin and no smell. Two others are knocking on deaths door and one has a bit of odor and makes my fingers sticky so it's looking so far like he's my guy. They all have good structure and vigor. My pigs were overjoyed about the cull and made quick work of it grunting happily turning it into future fertilizer, my pigs LOVE weed and the chickens too ...:) BTW having chickens and some sort of hooved animal are a gardening hack for fertilizer and quick turning of biomass into compost as well as preparing areas for planting outside. if you ever thought of having animals -just do it - chickens are a great start. There's now 10 seedlings up on the Mesa Cookies beans - hope a few more make it to the light. Bringing a Lemon Kush clone out to the flower room today to make room, I'm going to have to expand my veg area a tiny bit. All the babies are getting a LIMO today :) made with oatmeal, IMO4/5, castings from two different bins, seaweed extract, molasses, tiny bit of bat guano I found in a corner and mealworm frass from a friend. I forgot to add rock dust to this one - but usually I do a few tablespoons of it too.

First I assembled with my friends help a DIY LED using a Meanwell HLG-320h-54a driver, 2 QB96 Elite V2 Engines from HLG and some scrap aluminum pieces my buddy had - it seriously out performs the HPS 4oo I had there - I had to move it higher.... I was surprised to say the least as I've never seen a proper LED in person. I think I would always want some HID in flower but if I had the cash it would be every other light with these in between or the similar Gromaus unit. I also transplanted my Mesa Cookies seedlings and watered them in with a homeopathic strength KNF soulution. My flower tent has a nice Silver Bubble lady still finishing up and two other ladies that need a final trim and all my Juicy Fruit x Purple Punch and Blackberry Kush young ones are starting to show sex, going to be hard to pick a male. I plan on seeding a branch on every lady to get beans for next summer. All this strains will finish outside in the PNW so it will be a great boon to have these to play with. If I find a real special lady I'll keep a cut too. Just rebuilt my bubble bucket to be ready :)

  5. image.jpg Here’s the ladies starting to flip the one right in middle is a girl, 3 closest are boys. Middle one has best smell and resin so far

  6. 0EF8A1CB-16E6-40EB-998A-9F51AC3C12C0.jpeg These are the last two males. Keeping the one on left. It’s has good smell and is sticky. The other one not so much, plus it’s obviously such a nice plant. Made a little set up with a timer a T5 and a led light bulb I cut the plastic bulb off. Fed the other one to the pugs the other day - I was going to FPJ it but they were begging....I gave in. LOL - Balls are about to drop, I'll just keep it there until I harvest what I need and then I'll FPJ it - going to FPJ the cull tomorrow morning right before lights on.

  7. 300F9708-6BC6-4836-8E50-83B7DD55B9D6.jpeg Update on the Mesa Cookies! They are growing fast and healthy. There is one mutant that threw a single leaf instead of usual double triple tip leaves. It appears it’s sort of self topping and will grow out two branches from the first node! I just gave them a LIMO so they were a little droopy for the pic but they’ll stand right back up. The runt is catching up and is still much stockier but super healthy.
I also got all the males out of the room - except one new arrival might be a male- its off to the side. Also Update on the Juicy Fruit x Blackberry Kush and Purple Punch crosses. I got a net strung to help train and support them. The male I picked is doing well under a mini T5 and a led bulb, going to drop pollen within a week. Starting to see some flower crowns on a few ladies that were first to go in and the others are just starting. They’re actually filling out ok and I might actually see a decent harvest which I didn’t necessarily expect. Gave them a nice LIMO right before this, tonight they’ll be praying ❤️

Going to run them in my veg room under a 240w HLG clone quantum board. I bought two of them for 291$ shipped from kingbrite on alibaba. I ordered it dec 24th , paid with PayPal and got it this afternoon!! I’m flabbergasted. Using a lux meter on my phone I get the same reading as a 1000 hps if I move it 1 inch closer, pretty amazing and killer price.. I added one to the flower room and moved in an Alien OG and Cheesequake ladies. The Mesa Cookies babies are rocking! Edit - the 4th seed is popping - but the first one is all deformed/tripped out - it might not make it, we'll see. If it doesn't I might try an Amnesia Haze seed as I have a few of them.

  9. F7DF3E7B-6B9F-4326-B71D-B0B0FFFDB52D.jpeg My babies are doing good going into flower and the Mesa Cookies in the pic are growing great. I was away 4 days for New Years and I had a friend water for me but I think they got a little drought I got them all transplanted and most of them are looking good. Only 2 of the auto seeds survived so I cracked a few more. Gave them a nice foliar feed with alfalfa FPJ, kelp extract and FFA and BRV.

Been away from here for a bit ,thought I'd update. The Mesa Cookies from Miles Filipeli coming along nicely. Had to go get them flowering as veg spot ran out of room. They are about 2 feet tall but growing super fast now. I still have two left in veg I’m going to get bigger before they go, one is the mutant I’ve named the two headed gorgon and the other is the runt. Also the small plants are the auto flower seeds I started. Biggest is the Purple Haze and then the Berry Ryder and the smallest ones are the Mota Loco strain from a friend. It’s a cross of GWK from Mephisto and a blueberry Kush .

The first of my crosses are about a week out and looking juicy. I also have the auto flower plants going in my veg room and they’re taking off. For next photo round I started some Natures Gift seeds also from “ Weed Should Taste Good “ Miles Filipeli. 11 seeds and I got 11 plants! Just transplanted them today. Also just cracked 4 more auto beans and all 4 of them came up as well. KNF seed treatment solution is key. Also been working on a far red light with 660 &730nm on different channels to get Emerson effect and EOD treatment. Should be able to go to a 13/11 light cycle with it, we’ll see.

I also just made a new light to supplement my HPS - 6 4ft Bridgelux 35k strips on a 320 w driver - its pretty killer and can run on minimal heat sinking. I got alu strips for 7$ - enough for two lights - at recycling center. Total build cost was under 200-$ The Mesa Cookies are fattening up pic, and the autos are plumping. Starting to transplant the NG babies - they are looking really good with super fat leaves. The chickens were loving hanging in the sun with the piggies

This is one of the strains I used to cross with the Juicy Fruit, very worthy and really quite fast, a true 50 days or so.

KNF for the win! I love the colors that start appearing! The Mesa Cookies is really nice, tropical fruit and black pepper permeates this flower. B4CA2C9F-F61F-42AF-9CAA-96869FE76B6F.jpeg Also the Alien Kush I brought back from San Diego is amazing, pure Kush smells and just coated in trichs with a very low leaf ratio, this will be a treat to trim!

  16. Awesome, welcome. I grow using 100% homemade soulutions :) Check my thread in the Organic growing section to see some of the KNF methods I employ. ~~~> KNF ~~~ The Rabbit Hole thread :)

  17. I’m digging in on that right now. Read about 10 pages. I’ve heard of KNF methods but I’ve not looked into it much.

I’ll be reading your thread, then researching, and then we’ll see where it goes from there.

I am a fan of No-till methods though and have had great success.

    Thanks for sharing.

This strain is stellar and one I love it, hence the reason I chose it to breed with it. So many killer tops on a little plant. Rock hard crystal loaded terp laden nuggets of love
