There are multiple different ways you can make extracts. There's solventless extracts and some with solvents, dry sift, rosin, ice water, butane hash oil, alcohol based extracts, etc. Different pros and cons with different methods. Some serious like if done without proper safety equipment people have blown themselves up trying to make BHO. But that's just lack of common sense.
