So i found a perfect dasani berry water bottle and this random pvc pipe in my shed that fit airtight over the bottle(its like it was meant for this very purpose!) + i can put ice all in the pvc pipe without it falling through, makes for a delightful arctic refreshing hit! and for the downstem i used a sharpie tube and the bowl is the sharpie cap with a 14mm socket. [i cut a hole in the bottom of the sharpie tube & the cap] named her Rosa(pronounced ROSSSAAAA in a heavy spanish accent haha) simple yet elegant!
well besides that you got plastic surrounding your bowl, a plastic down stem, a plastic chamber, and then pvc...
i really dont see the harm when the flame onlyy goes on the metal socket and herb..but who knowss maybe im just retarded
I was thinking the same way. I had a homemade with a socket bowl and a plastic down stem. I had to burn the down stem a few times and man that smell was strong and shitty. So I was pretty sure when I used a metal bowl none of the plastic was heating up. It would be a very distinct smell/taste because I've burnt the plastic before and inhaled some of it. It was very noticeable. Also, supposedly the heat could melt the plastic but I doubt that too, especially if you're using cold water, then the smoke would be cooled down, no? Well enjoy, that's an ice homemade you have.
