Dugout chemical concerns

  1. I brought home a dugout and a bat that is either stained wood or looks like it because it's made of rainbow eucalyptus wood-- or some combination of both. My wife and I are both health conscious so she immediately cleaned it out with a pipe cleaner and some air duster (which possibly has proellants that are worse. The smell of the dugout is chemicalish, but we can't tell if it's the stain or if that's just how rainbow eucalyptus wood smells. Any one know? And if it is a chemical stain that makes it smell is it a major concern? Or is there a way that other people have successfully neutralized any chemical toxins?

  2. I retired my dugout years ago after I picked up a dry herb vaporizer. I highly recommend getting one.

  3. Rainbow eucalyptus? Do you have pictures? Most of the dyed wood dug outs are made from dyed maple. Either way I agree with your feeling and say fuck stain and dyes, always go natural.
