I have this tricky percolator bong that I'm not sure how to dry. The towel can only dry up to the percolator in the tube part. I doesn't fit in the base unfortunately. I was recommended to use a hair dryer. Will that crack the delicate dome percolator, or cause the paint to flake? I store it inside a foam case, which makes me worry about mold/mildew. My friends bong turned moldy before, I guess it was really disgusting. He said it was super hard to clean. What makes me worry was I seen a brownish spot on the mouthpiece. I freaked and thought it was mold. So I cleaned the fuck outta it. (It was most likely just dirt or something, I doubt it was mold now).

Was it painted properly? Ive put glass pieces in the oven at a very low temp to get them completely bone dry. When you're done just turn off the oven and let it cool in the oven until it is at room temp. But if its painted I really do not know.
Hair dryer is a good idea There should be a temperature control. Low/medium/high. Low or medium shouldn't crack it unless you just took it out of the freezer.
I third this. this will definitely dry your glass. This is probably as good as the the iphone to the microwave trick. It will work... trust us.
I too have this problem with my illadelph stuff. Hate putting the a/c in the dirty or wet. But it makes keep my shit clean. Anyone had problems with illy boxes molding?
This is what I’ve done for years, I have 10+ in a display case and I rotate them. When it’s time to switch, iso and salt until clean, full rinse, then I fill the entire bong up with 91% iso and pour it back into the bottle. The tiny bit of alcohol that’s left inside evaporates, no fog, no hard water stain, no oven or hair dryer needed. Only thing you need to do is rinse it out before reusing.
I know this thread is old but literally just empty all the water out and shake it upside down a little. Percs aren't immune to gravity. Any water left would be barely anything and would evaporate quickly.

I usually just put mine in the sunlight next to an open window. Setting up an air pump to suck or blow air through it would help speed things up as well.
