I’ve noticed getting less high and or taking more weed then normal second smoke in evening , after midnight.
Does getting a bubbler someday or other things different from a bong keep your tolerance lower ?

  2. I would say it does not you have to factor in a couple of things such as how big of a hit you are you taking, and how much are you consuming in one sitting, and in a day. But if you where to smoke the same amount, in a sitting and a day out of a pipe your tolerance would most likely be the same. So it comes down to how much you consume.

  3. Maybe your body is use to that way of consuming so your getting use to the effects from the bong. Twist up the same amount ya smoke through the bong n see if your high changes.

  4. Joints n blunts seem to hit me pretty hard .
Should I stick to once a day or Twice ok ?

  5. Go all day man! what ya wanna b sober for?

  6. Bongs are a very efficient way to smoke but your tolerance is going to depend really on how much and how often you smoke and the potency. I think if anything bongs will make it so you'll save more weed to get as high as you would if you rolled it or used a bowl.

  7. I’m trying to cut back so I can find a job before I run out of weed , that’s not possible to be high all day with my tolerance without smoking a tonnnn !!

  8. Oh well could it be from smoking with same method too long or just from misplacing my larger bowl piece . My torch lighter won’t spark itself A flame.... sad times it’s broke only 2 month old

I really think I need a better bowl piece for my bong imo but I’m out of cash right now

Joints are so badly efficient yet somehow a small one or two hits me hard .
Maybe cuz I haven’t had one in years

  10. Only way to know is do same amount in bong , joint and blunt on separate days ... see which hits mehardest . Either way I’m too low on cash for blunts

  11. Nah, your tolerance always goes up everytime you smoke no matter the method really.

  12. I never really enjoyed the bong , no offense - just my POV , cause to me it was too much in just one 'main' hit - coughed like a MF

not 100% sure it's accurate, but I think that extra real "stoned" bong-effect is really due to oxygen deprivation, not improved absorption of THC with the bong. ( Debunking The Myth Of Holding A Hit Of Marijuana - RQS Blog ) . Up until recently, I was taking a few "bigger" hits on my joint, and try to hold it in for like 3 / 5 seconds, I stopped doing that .

To put it simply yes your tolerance goes up as soon as you ingest THC - no matter how, bong, edibles, a tiny zig-zag joint, a Fat Blunt dipped into Hash oil soup. But the bigger the ingestion, the bigger your tolerance gets. ( and that lowers your high for each daily / weekly session (7days ).

Exactly. Now that I'm a wiser consumer than I was back in my teenage/student years, I'm trying to understand the science so that I get the best bong-bang-bang for my buck.. ( what a fancy mainstream trap song title ... ) Good luck !!!!

  13. So do have to quit for a week or two or can I just smoke every other day until my tolerance is low enough to get higher again???

I could smoke once a day and get high still but twice the second try is a fail . It’s in evening a hour or two after first smoke .
    Any tips ???

Skipping second session is hard I got nerve pain and insomnia . But to cut back I might be able to .

How do you do this ??

  15. yep classic case. You get in the "high" state ( or maybe just 'buzzed" ? ) on the very first few hits of the day.
To put things simply, I understood better somthing I already knew, and most of us know. We can group the Marijuana high in 3 levels ( each level could even be split into some sub-levels but let's first put that down). There's 3 Levels of a Marijuana High : The BUZZ , The Marijuana HIGH , and STONED on Marijuana.

The BUZZ is the first level and happens after taking only two / three hits, a nice little enjoyable buzz feeling.

The level after that is the "High" state, this level is reached when you smoke a full joint or couple bowls.

The 3rd level is when you're stoned, you continue to smoke after you are already high , because you don't really care and don't realize or think about your levels - I was like that when I was sparking the first joint at 6:50 am, another at 10:00, one after lunch, another around 4/5 pm maybe then the last one around 9:00 pm. For me it became a vicious circle after a few months like that - not getting high anymore and spending 20$ / 30$ daily , I was fooling myself.

Dude here is what I would do if I were you. Since you're kinda used to those daily 2 sessions , try to cut back for real on the very first one of the day. Smoke a third ( so if you were always smoking 1g, go for a third of that : 0.33g approximately. Keep the 0.66 g safe, you will need it later.

Or if it was a full joint, smoke 1/3 and keep the other 2/3 if it's in a nice cone shape. Take a crayon pencil and put a limit on the joint , and stop smoking when you are at that limit - I literally did that a few times when I needed to really have a limit. ) Let the joint go out and keep it safe somewhere , spend the day normally and PLAN SHIT TO DO to keep your brain focused on other things. Even if it's Sunday, even if Covid19 Quarantine-stay-at-home day : you must do stuff otherwise it's automatic : nothing special to do ? Brain says "get high". So plan things to do, there's tons of shit to do.

Then, in the evening , smoke the 2/3 left from the joint or the 0.66 grams of bud you saved. Because that 2nd session is a bigger one , you will most probably be all set for your evening / sleep time.

Do that for at least 2 days. I would consider that to be the minimum . 24 hours break doesn't work. But I would seriously advise to do this for 5 days, since it's not a real break, only a decrease / cut back. Because on that 6th day, if you decide you want to use your bong again or have 1 or 2 fat full joints without pausing, I'm pretty sure you will be knocked out / stoned. But then, you have to know, it's pretty much back to square one, because your tolerance is back ( your brain be like "oh yea it's like it was just 6 days ago , I remember" and after a few daily sessions within 2 days, it's gonna be back to normal for you. So you gotta start alllll this again - which kinda sucks. ) Everyday, remind yourself that it's gonna be awesome to be able to get properly high again after that 5 days "reorganization" of your habit.

I'm no expert, I'm only giving you a way to look objectively at how much you smoke daily for now, and "how" do you want to get back to that "high" state in the weeks / months / years to come.

I'm going through some type of similar cut back / break experience, because I live in Canada right now and my next chapter will be in the Netherlands. So I better get that sh!t right so I can truly enjoy the buzz/high state for a reasonable monthly budget, I'm far from rich.

Remember : picture your whole life from day 0 (birth) to your future death, as a flat line. These 48hours, 5 days, or whole month, are just a really small spot on that 99+ years life-line.

    Good luck !!

  16. I've also noticed for me at least getting high at night was way more effective as well. I don’t know if there's any actual difference for most people but, for me the lack of light tends to kinda ease my sensitivity to light so its much more mellow. I've been on a t-break for 18 days now and I plan to break it after 28 days and start again with moderate usage.

I used to smoke daily and get high 24/7 however I stopped feeling anything and I knew that it wasn't good for my mind or my wallet.

Moderation is really the best policy if it's for the high. Now medical usage is different since you'd need it for relief and I don’t judge how others chose to use cannabis as its all up to you and, there's medical properties some people need and sometimes they need that everyday for relief.

However if your trying to just get high you should definitely take t-breaks every once in a while to reset that tolerance. Best of luck and cheers fellow blade.
