With nugg smashers getting very inexpensive and the availability of terpenes as a thinner I am wanting to try to make my own carts. I am smashing my flower and getting about a 20% return with 90 micron bag @ 200f. Pretty close to shatter consistency. I put my rosin in a small heavy glass dish and set it on a warming plate at 175f and mix in about 15 small drops of terps to get a runny consistency. At 65f its still pretty thick but I can get it into a blunt tip syringe and fill the cartridge when its still a little warm. I am using a cartridge with a ceramic atomizer. Once the carts are filled I will generally get a couple good hits with good vapor and potency but then pretty soon after the vapor pretty much stops and gets very little vapor produced. The oil does not seem to have separated. Even if I heat the cart a little it doesn't help produce better hits. Any tips or idea what might be causing my problems?
