Today was a bad one, for one thing this morning i was jolted awake by a noise... a horrible noise.... the sound of glass breaking and water spilling all over my bamboo hardwood floor... Anyways, heres my broken stem, a new one costs around 40$ where i live so I have to save up for a while, but I had an idea...

If i were to take the stem pieces in the way pictured and heated the break points with a torch until soft, and then pushed them together, could i fuse it together as a temporary downstem? Or if i were to hold them together and then heat up the crack until they fused, or maybe something else... I don't have any experience with something like this obviously. This sucks because ive had the stem about a week and just got a new bowl yesterday... What do the heads in the city think of my situation?

  2. if you have a torch lighter or something it's worth a try. may work, just make sure to let it air cool, don't cool in water because it will crack.
