I purchased a bong from a shop nearby earlier today. I have hit between 20-30 bongs in my lifetime smoking with friends but I didn’t know much about the pricing and details. I basically just picked one I liked. It was listed for $150. I offered him $120 for it and with much enthusiasm he took the offer. How much should I really have paid for this piece just by the picture?
Ur right in the range, all depends who’s selling it. Some places won’t let those go for less than 150.. now if your friends with a store owner you could possibly get it for ninety to 100 flat
If it's made in China then you could get it for $35 shipped to your door in 2 weeks. But people love to think because it's in a headshop it must be domestic made or somehow better quality and that the store owners wouldn't possibly try to maximize profits.

Why do folk pay so much for bongs? I’m just a spliffer these days but when I did get blazin I just used a good ol plastic one that cost bout a tenner. Stick some ice in it and it’s about as smooth as any of the fancy ones I’ve tried.

Yep I bought a fake mobius off there for like 30 or 35 bucks when the real one would be like 300+ The glass is pretty thick and strong, it rips, and I really doubt anyone could even tell the difference. Why would I spend 10x the price for something that maybe is slightly better?
Because it isn't a Chinese ripoff screwing real artists. Why don't they put a Chinese flag on them if they're so proud of their work and stop ripping off Americans with crappy inferior and arsenic laden glass that claims to be 9mm but is only 3mm at the joints. That's why.
