Whats up guys, i wanna see you guys monst creatives home made pieces! who knows maybe someone will even be cool enough to give some stuff away to people with the most creative piece?! :shrug: be sure to let us know what its made out of to! try to stay away from the bottles with a bunch of perks, when i say creative i mean like out of the ordinary stuff! like a golf club! well have fun making and smoking out of your pieces!
[quote name='"thorgaurd"'] damn dude how did you make that?[/quote] It's made of three individual layers, I cut them to shape using my drill press, a 1/4" router bit and a cross slide vise. I milled out the area for the storage compartment the same way. I had to use several files to shape each piece and get them smooth. All the screws are stainless, I had to turn each screw on my lathe to shape the heads to countersink. I will look for a pic of it in pieces, before I assembled it, that will give you a better idea how it's made. There are 23 parts that I had to make by hand to build this one. It takes a lot of precision work to get all the parts to fit and function perfectly. I built a few of these to sell but there was so much labor I couldn't make a profit. I ended up giving them away. I love working on stuff like this, it's almost like building a watch. Here's another I made a while back. This one has a stainless tube that pops out when a button is pushed releasing a poker. In the second pic you can see a locking lever that has to be pushed in order to open the lid on the bowl. I've made about twenty of these. I would love to see where they all ended up after all these years.
Had pics of my creation back when I signed up. But I made a 4 person waterfall out of a 3 gallon bucket. Had a spigot at the bottom to drain, a big fat party bowl on top, and a hole with a cork to fill it up, and 4 hookah hoses to hit it from. Used to get the entire party lit on one bowl.
