Its fine without an extra bowl. Carve a bowl just have some control with the draw and you'll be alright, and, you also get the portability factor with gavin it self contained.
nah man i tried this once and the cork burned and then i put a metal bowl in it but the bowl got hot and kept burning the cork so yea... not worth it just go to home depot in the plumbing section and build yourself a nice pipe
