I recently made an all metal pipe and it seems to heat up very fast, any advice on how to keep in cool or cool it fast?
Mabey a can of freon hahhah. No not really dont try that lol. but the only way i think would work is hold your lighter nice and far away and suck. once you can move the flame while taking a nice slow inhale its the perfect distance. Then just pack a nice bowl and hold it at the distance, it wont work instantly it takes a second for the bud to start smoking up. And dont smoke in groups with it either itll get crack pipe hot.
Just relax. Slow down when your hitting. Metal pipes are not good for parties, or if you just go fast... Use bongs, I even do just for personal use...
Yea, this is just a piece for me to lay back and chill to admire my work, also I've heard all the hype about the dangers of smoking from aluminum. What if it isn't foil but thicker, thicker than a soda can? No ink, no dyes, just plain aluminum.
aluminum isnt good but iv done it to you should probably upgrade to some glass soon though, can you show us the piece please
It still a work in progress, I want to get info on it before investing major time. It's kinda like a metal version of a glass blunt.
umm.. what did you.. "make" it from? if you went around your garage and put together some random metal shit and called it a pipe, you're probably smoking a bunch of chemicals and shit like chrome, anti rust shit, etc and the metal finish, probably when it heats up to. Best advice. Stop smoking out of that shit now unless you're 12 and don't know any better and go to your LHS and get a cheap modular $5 Mine is the smallest metal pipe you can get, it hits really smooth and bowls last forever.
Well I did find my materials around the house, but I don't make these out of neccesity, but out of boredom. I like to make pieces, it just gives me something to do.
Well yea, that's what I thought... I know aluminum is risky, if not all out dangerous, to smoke out of.
if you use stainless steel, try to set the part you're using on fire to remove any of the polymer coatings (if there are any) but most of the time its judt electroplated with chrome which makes it stainless so youre safe there. But to repeat what others have said, try to upgrade to glass, or jack a test tube from chem. class and make a pipe or vape ;D
