Just bought a 4000w Maxisun LED and have my old 1000w Bestva blurple light. Im currently using a 4x4 with just the Madisun with 3 plants. Should i add my old light? Sent from my SM-G970U using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Maxisun is a 400 watt light for 16 sq ft, which is 25 watts per sq ft. The usual recommendation is 30 watts, but 25 is probably enough. You can easily use both lights, but don't burn the plants. I'd probably use both, and hang them high.
Its completely up to you......depending on if you want to deal with the slightly higher monthly light bill....and the lesser problems such as slight rise in temp and maybe a bit more water consumption. I'd run both if it were me though.....that's just how I am.
Yessir but from a distance acting as the perfect supplemental. Bestevas' spectrum is great for this. Unfortunately the 90• lenses (if you have) make it tough to cover an area without backing way up. I'd put the besteva outside the tent angled down on the plants. I do it with my cheap KingLed which has similar spectrum.
