    Sup sup my brothers!

First time trying out Coco / Hydro. I messed up in the beginning starting off with a 0.9 Ec value. It ended up burning the plants a little, unfortunately. I immediately dropped it down to 0.5 and will keep it that way for a week. Hopefully they'll make it through well.

    Post Transplant 25/03 20210325_010223.jpg

Any ideas about the burnt leaves?

I thinkit might be because of the 0.9 eC too fast (as soon as second true leaves opened up fully)

i was afraid it was overwatering, so I held down on the watering for a few watering and it started getting worse so I guess it's the EC.

It could have been a pH problem since I didnt buffer the water used to pH the coco during the buffering, so it probably buffered at around pH 7.2

I've been watering with 0.5EC for about three days with large amounts of water. Thinking on bumping it up to 0.7 today, but I dont want to hurt them babiez

  3. Plants have adapted to the transplant.

Bumped up the ec to 0.75 and they're liking it. Burning came to a halt

I placed the more vigorous plant on the corners to halt their growth a little (1 whitewidow amnesia, 1 OG cheese, 1 peyote zkittlez) .

Will be starting the mainlining process in about 5 days or so. 20210328_171323.jpg

  4. FYI you can’t over water in coco.

Just keep it saturated and start around 25% feeding regime, if they look hungry, dump more water on them :)

Anywho, it’s not a huge deal that won’t get sorted out. Keep it up

  5. Yeah Ive been watering everyday since the burning started! thanks for the support!

Im thinking about keeping it at 0.75 eC throughout the first mainlining regime. i will keep two pair of leaves (to keep the plant metabolism higher than just one pair) and trim all the shoots except for the ones on the top leaves.

Eventually i'll bump up to 0.9 - 1.0 eC during veg and work my way up to 1.2 during early flower.

I'm not sure what a hungry plant looks like lol. The big amnesia has some leaves that seem to be clawing somewhat, but my nutrients are very dilute (the MagNiFiCal does have nitrogen). If that continues, I might switch to Floranova Bloom early to balance out the NPK with the calmag.

    Update coming in 5 days.

    Peace :love-m3j:

  6. Starting the mainlining process today

First 2 pictures are before and after the grow tent.

Last 2 pictures are before and after the trimming. As I mentioned earlier, I'm leaving an extra pair of leaves on (no shoots) so that the plants metabolism stay stronger during this initial phase of the process.

Still maintaining 0.75 ec, and keeping the velokelp and super thrive in the formula to help deal with the stress...

  7. Looks good. I do a quad line. I top it once, lst as it grows, and it does the rest. My plants are pretty bushy so quad line works great with my light

  8. do the four tops stay with similar vigour?

for this grow it's too late for this since I already clipped the shoots, but will definitively consider it for my next run. Have you tried the original mainlining to compare the results? I say this because I have before and the two shoots that shoot out are really vigorous right away, thick green leaves, etc... wondering if the results would be the same with 4 shoots.

(wounder how the top buds stayed on you plant lol)

cheers, thanks for the reply brother

  9. They do! It saves me a lot of veg time doing main tops. The side chutes usually catch up pretty quickly and you and your with a pretty even canopy. This grow the middle hasn’t fully caught up and I don’t think it will.

I tried the conventional mainline and my yields just weren’t there. I couldn’t get the plant tall enough to make it worth it so I switched to 4 main chutes. [IMG]

  10. Picture 1: overview of the tent. Beautiful big leaves with birthing shoots.

Pictures 2-3: yellowing of leaves (whitewidow / amnesia) could be nitrogen or magnesium deficiency. Will bump the eC up to 850 for a couple of days then to 950. Will also substitute the Velokelp for the GH Floralicious Plus since it has aminos, in an attempt to boost nutrient uptake.

Picture 4: Bruce Banger with tiny burns on tip, plus purple stalks. Might be sequela of previous nuteburn. If not, she won't resist the bumping up of my ec, but theres nothing I can do... Im mixing up only one solution for the whole grow... lets see how it goes.

    Any sugestions are welcome.

  11. Update: added floraflex automatic watering trays and wicking pad, still need to connect the pipes and pumps. Continuing with the mainlining process - second trim. Going Sado with my girls. No broken branches (thank you Armor Si)

    - setup the automatic watering system (floraflex)
    - Watering 2x/day - pump works for 45s each time
    - last trim and tie
    -setup my scrog mesh

    Future:
    - Switch to flower in +- 10 days
    - Detach the drivers from the Mars hydro and remove them from the tent to lower temperature (before flower)

  13. FLOWER TIME!

Pic #1 - "this is what 32 tops in a 3x3 looks like"

    Pic #2 - side view

Pic #3 - setting up automatic pH regulator

    * waiting for my UVB to arrive within a couple of days

** the plants are getting much bushier than last times I grew. Pretty sure it's the airpots.

  14. Almost one week into flower.

    CO2 at 1200ppm

Humidity 70-75% might be a problem in the future

Trimmed the lower leaves that weren't getting much light so that I could raise the scrog net to better support the branches and lift one of the plants that is shorter in the corner, by placing a brick under the pot.

Added a uv light at the side of the grow! Will rotate the side every week.

    Pic #1 overall view

Pic #2 focus on UV light

Pic #3 side view with raised net and a brick. Under one of the plants

    * was it bad to trim a couple of leaves during this period? I'm hoping it will actually make the plants stretch less, since it will sense that less leaves are actually in shade. Next trim job in 5 weeks to increase ventilation.

** if humidity stays too high, I will increase the exhaust and the CO2 on the second half of the flowering cycle to avoid mold

  15. Fu*kin ass my leaf tips burned overnight!

I only added GH fulvic acids (diamond nectar) to the mix and kept the eC at 1.2!

Just flushed them with 0.4 eC solution. Will run that for 24 hours then return to the 1.1 this time WITHOUT the Diamond Nectar.

Feeling a little bit frustrated... Hope it doesn't halt the budding :/

    Any suggestions are welcome 20210427_204730.jpg 20210427_204739.jpg 20210427_204747.jpg 20210427_204758.jpg

Pic #2 side view - grew 20 inches in two weeks!

Pic #3 calmag Def. Had to up it, getting greener by the hour

  18. Day 22

1 gallon pots are Def too small.

Has to increase irrigation to 8x/ day. Pretty sure some of the burn was because of little irrigation freq.

Any who.... Trying to figure the art out 20210512_211440.jpg 20210512_211400.jpg 20210512_211328.jpg
