Hi guys, So on a whim I bought my first bong. (I generally use a davinci dry herb vaporizer. Whenever I use a joint or even an oil pen it burns my throat.) So anyway I got a bong because I wanted to try an ice catcher. On a whim I pick up some shisha and he tells me I can use a glass banger to smoke shisha in the bong. He also gives me a little bowl for the cannabis. I ask if I can smoke them both together. He seems to think that's not possible... they need two different "bowls". But I think I can. A Banger allows you to heat something up without burning it. So if I put shisha and cannabis together in the banger, shouldn't that vaporize them both together for me? I would be vapirozing the weed instead of smoking it like you usually do in a bong.. but it should work just as well as vaporizing in general. I tried it last night and I think it worked.. though it's not clear how much cannabis effect I actually got from the bong/banger. Has anyone done this?
shisha is coated in PG. You don't want to combust that stuff..it's not too good. Is it worth the risk of possibly combusting the shisha while you think you're vaping it? FYI when ppl blow out big vape clouds they are combusting the PG because they turned up their mod or are hitting it excessively long. Big cloud = combustion...proper vaping at the right temps produces a cloud that fades quickly and is barely there.
Interesting.. it's funny, the guy in the store gave me a banger for the shisha and said that's how you smoke shisha. Then I looked on the internet and I found zero reference to smoking shisha in a banger.... so I wonder if that's really something the guy in the store recommends.. or I just asked him for something to smoke shisha in a bong, and instead of saying "you can't smoke shisha in a bong".... he picked up a banger and said, "this might work".
Btw.. do I not want to combust it because it will taste bad? Or because it's a significant health risk? (more than smoking in general)
Why would u want to smoke sisha with weed in anything lol... U can smoke dog shit & weed mixed but again why would u want to do it
Health risks. Vaping and combustion produce very different chemicals/compounds. I'm not a doctor or expert, I just read a lot. Do your own research please. I used to sell hookahs and sheesha long time ago. The proper method for 'smoking' it (as I read in those included manuals with the product) included layering tinfoil with holes in it and putting the coal on top the the foil so the sheesha just gets kinda cooked/vaped through the foil and doesn't burn. That was the recommended method for 'smoking it' if you were curious., but I'm sure there's better/updated info on the internet if you want to dig into it deeper.

Definitely don't want to smoke that shit straight up like that, only use it how it's meant to if u use it at all. I'm not completely against hookahs but they technically are very obsolete in a sense (you could just vape high % nicotine and inhale way less bad shit doing it for the same nic amount). So I'd only recommend as a once in a while thing. Off topic ik, just thought it was worth saying
I hear that, the sentiment is dont use it other than how it's intended. What I want to know now is whether I'm even supposed to smoke shisha out of a banger. The guy in the store said that's how to do it.. but now I wonder if that's even a thing or something he made up on his own. From searching around it seems like a banger is for dab rigs, not shisha.
