  4. you could for sure build that in a trip to the hardware store, some buckets, a tote or larger bucket for the rez, a floater for water level control, it wouldnt be too hard.

from looking at it it looks like the planter buckets are flooded from the bottom up and stop once the root zone is reached, when the plants drink it up the level in the planters and the control bucket drops and the float opens up until it refills, it looks a lot like a krusty bucket just not DWC.

if you want to try to build some rumpleforeskins bubble bucket build here on the city would be a good jumping off point probably. its more for dwc growers but the build would be close to this in over all materials

  6. Putting nutes in the water reservoir is going to cause serious algae to grow in the water lines. After each grow, you can drain, flush, dry out and hand scrub all the buckets and lines will NEVER remove the algae. Once that algae is in the plastic, it will come back at you any time the lines are filled with water again.

  8. That right there is why I never ventured into sip type wick buckets. Always something to clean or clog but it is a easy way to grow.

  9. This has been an issue in my 5 gal bucket in bucket sips. Organic material trickles down from the soil into the reservoir bucket & gets "nasty". The good thing is that you can lift the soil bucket out, dump that bad water & refill it. A separate water reservoir like that commercially made system looks good & makes sense, I may have to give it a try SOMEDAY.
