I can’t get my bong clean at all, it has 3 chambers and a honeycomb. I have tried letting my bong sit in rubbing alcohol overnight, shaking it with rubbing alcohol and salt, I have tried bong bae cleaner, I have let hot water run through my bong for 30 minutes. Nothing cleans it fully. Any suggestions on what I can do? Or what I can use for it?
When you shook it with alcohol and salt did you plug anywhere water can escape? If not try doing that (I just use paper towel to plug it) that way you can really shake it good. Be careful though obviously u don't want to destroy your baby.
F— all the unnecessary work man. My old bong had resin and hard water stains stuck in it, and it would’ve been a nightmare trying to clean THAT out myself. Do yourself a favor, and invest in THIS for all your pieces. It works better then any other cleaner I seen, 420Cleaner doesn’t clean nearly as easily or as well. Also doesn’t have any abrasives (most cleaners have salts or something in them) so it won’t leave micro scratches in your piece I love this stuff, makes your pieces look like they did when you first purchased them.
Get your hands on some "Mean Green" It's $5 for a gallon of it at walmart. That stuff is like a miracle worker. I don't have to do anything but fill my bong up with it and let it sit. I've had black gunk that was so bad I thought I'd have to throw my pipe away and it came out sparkling clean. It was like brand new.
Do be careful with certain solvents and cleaning pieces you smoke or drink out out of. They often have bitterants in them that will make you very ill if inhaled or swallowed.
I’ve had my bong for about 8 years now, always kept it pretty clean with rubbing alcohol but the hard water stains started to build up over the years. Tried everything, couldn’t get it off. Eventually got some wire brushes that I was able to angle into the beaker bottom and around the perk. Got it nice and cleaned up.
Honeycombs are hard to clean. Use brushes and try to clean as much as you can. Might be a good idea to invest a quality ash catcher.
I have used CLR on my pipes. Just make sure you rinse the fuck out of them of boil them after cleaning.
Part of the problem with Bong maintenance is people do not clean them nearly as often as they should. Clean it at the first hint of resin buildup.
That Mean Green is like magic. It takes everything off with no problem. It's non toxic and I wonder what in the hell is in it that it just soaks resin off with no shaking or anything.
Industrial grade de-greasers are made to break down fats and waxes much more complex than that you find in cannabis resin. Every single one uses orange terpenes because of how fucking well they work.
