Hello people me and my friend split out bong almost a year ago..but now he is on probation and cant smoke..so the bong is temporarly mine..i left it one night at a friend's house and they broke one of the percolators..i know that if its possible to fix it'll be really hard..is it possible to fix??
It depends what kind of perc. If its a tree perc, i'd say you couldn't fix it. if its a mad scientist/ has a removable perc, then you can buy a new one
yea its a tree percolator..now im just left with one perc..i guess ill just save up for a new bong..since its not as powerful as it used to be..
Yea thats too bad. I never let my pieces go away to friends houses, I just know for a fact that with my luck it will break. I had my bong thrown off a balcony at one party, and my buddy borrowed another one time and it got broken in half. Its just bad juju
holy shit thats fucked up! i would be so pissed to know my bong wasn't broken by being knocked over, but was actually thrown off a balcony sorry OP, but it really isn't even worth the money it will cost to fix a tree perc
if you bring it to a glass blower to fix theyll probably cut it down and you end up with one less perc
I was talking to my friend tha other day about his Phire with a broken Tree Perc on it and we realized how easy we could get it fixed. all u need to do is find a glass cutter n have them cut tha bong close to tha percs and re-attach the broken one on then melt the bong back together my guess is it would be around 50$
That won't be about $50 ThaPotProffesor... it will cost much more. The chances of the bong even making it through a repair are very low. Low quality glass is far more likely to break when reintroduced to flame than the good stuff. Just get a new bong. OP: What kind of bong is it? If it's not a high quality piece, just get a new one. These kind of repairs are generally only attempted on expensive one-of pieces that can't be replaced by any other means.
Don't listen to the doubters. You would be so surprised what glass blowers can do...........I mean all those crazy freakin pipes are made by hand ya know. I broght a frosted zob into a repair guy one time cause the down stem connector broke off. The dude just melted a new 14 gauge head piece right onto after cutting off the old stuff. Melted it back together, i literally! could not tell it had any repairs. Cutting and melting glass together is actually easy. Repairing the percs would be harder though cause the percs are very delicate and particular and they are factory made. But he could definitely figure something out to get it looking good and get it a decent filtration again. Probably would be more like 70-100 dollars though
