Does anyone else seen to go through glass and different pieces regularly? I seem to break anything I come in contact with after a few weeks of usage daily no matter it be a puffco pro or a cheap $20 bowl. I do have one beaker bong made by pulse that has lasted maybe 8 years and survived numerous falls even on to the street.
I only broke one piece that was a complete piece of shit I got from a headshop when I was underage. And maybe like a downstem. Maybe try thickassglass or there's also silicone pieces.
I like my metal pipes for this reason. My previous one lasted 15 years. Glass, I think I may have broke 1 or 2 over the years but I'm pretty good with keeping shit in tact. I've got a zippo I've had in my pocket for 21 years and I use it daily. Shit sticks around a while.
Been smoking Kief-Hash out of this one for a decade or more. It's New as the last one got dropped in 800 feet of Ocean by a clumsy friend. BNW
I bought my first glass bong a few weeks ago. They wrapped it in bubble wrap, put it in a nice bag...when I got home there was a crack about 75% of the way around the glass about an inch above the flat bottom. I was pissed. Didn't even get to use it... But then I thought of what I could do to try to save it and used a 'super' glue that was a gel. I covered the crack all the way around, waited till dry and checked it. One small section leaked water so I glued over it again. It was completely sealed and haven't had a problem since. I use it daily...
Anyone know of good replacement glass for the puffco pro? Not sure if I want to pay $110 for the puffco glass when I can get another rig or bong at the headship for that. I do have a replacement atomizer that I got when I purchased it.
bottom of my bong broke from setting it down on a wooden chair …. Borosilicate seems to survive cleaning even in a metal sink , it’s the bowl peices that break easiest imo not the bongs themselves. I got a grav bong slide died within a Week it was designed to slide itself off my table and shattered all over . It’s going to be tosssed out when I find it …. They make a metal bong it’s indispensable cannot break forgot the name .
Any pics of your fix ? My ash catcher was super glued but I tossed it out as it had too much cracks… You probably could had returned it if it was brand new FYI . And said they cracked it but was it them or you ??
Let me get some pics... I'm going to wait till tomorrow when the light is better and also I'm using it right now... And where I bought it was way too far away from where I lived so I didn't consider taking it back.
Here are photos of the glass with the crack very visible. I used a clear Loctite to seal the glass. I had to do it about 3 times to get the entire crack. Loctite is a bit 'rubbery' and lets the glass expand and contract a bit w/o cracking further. It cost about $7 at Walmart. It also gives you something to hold a bit if there is condensation on the glass. Doesn't look so great but works fine.
Looks good similar to the gorilla glue I used on my base plate , it’s so thick and water proof . However I can’t find my clear glue someone must’ve tossed it out , I only have the tan colored glue left . How tall is your beaker mine is 16” I could’ve gone smaller , I been using a straight tube one til my tolerance gets higher . All my pics on my usa made thread . Not sure how people use zongs…
Much more reasonable size I had no idea beakers had so much volume 16” Can be hard to clear . 10 is probably better !!
