Just use Kosher salt. I wouldn't use rocks, it could damage your bong but I guess you got lucky. Any scratches?
I would not use pebbles in mine afraid it would break the perc , glad it was a success tho . The base will clean eventually???
got one side fully clean a few specs left on other side , it’s so hard to keep it clean under the perc . are dishwashing brushes good for cleaning the tube ? It clearly won’t scratch glass..
Do you consider buying a new one? Looks like its hard to clean and you might break it or give it scratches while cleaning it so hard. Dishwashing brushes are good but, I doubt if it can clean it 100%.
no cracks in the tube that’s the plate underneath it . Which was repaired with super glue or something. No Ive cleaned bowls so packed with resin you couldnt get any air through them with 710. Those take a few days of soaking though.
That looks like the exact honeycomb i have. Iso and salt does the trick but theres been a strange issue going around where no cleaning products get rid of this issue. Fuck what these kids being fed on a silver platter say honestly. If your clean doesnt work even when clear. Try iso+salt(shake alot OR let sit longer for resistant resin)>hot rinse with tap a bunch>White vinegar(sit for 15min+shake)>warm then cold tap to rinse away vinegar> filtered or bottled water rinse> filter water when smoking> and try using matches instead of butane lighter and see how it hits. Do the same clean to the slide and downstem(and filter water rinse on them). If that doesnt work it could be a simpler issue like hiding resin.
Does boiling water even do anything? 710 cleaner looks oil based and separates itself after so long from soaking , not a good soaker ?? I’ll try and get some stronger iso like 91%, I’m using 70% won’t clean it 100% but I’ll try soaking it in there a few hours maybe 5-6 . I’ve even loaded it with salt under the perc too not cleaned it all , honey percs are stubborn.. is iso bad for silicone bowl peice ? Or no ? How is it supposed to be cleaned ..
710 works fine for everything but this bong , iso 90% didn’t clean it last try I gotta soak it overnight see if it can melt this resin gunk . It’s a few tiny specs of stuff I cannot get off , sadly a little if my 710 spilled like not sure how much ounces I lost . Had it a jar without a good lid ..
91% iso didn’t clean it , probably need something stronger or soak for a week.. Don’t got the money for anything else right now , the few resin stains won’t come out despite being tiny . does Epson salt Hurt to glass??? Or stain it
If you get it clean you might be able to get that bong fixed. It's only a broken base, shouldn't cost much to repair. Don't know if it'd be worth it till you get a quote though.
Acetone... carbon tetrachloride... WD40... ultrasonic cleaner. Now there's a thought. "Mr Mota's Ultrasonic Bong Service".
The issue isn’t the isopropyl it’s the epson salt , I’ll try kosher salt and sea salt if I have any or go and buy both try them out . Need something abrasive , I hope I don’t gotta cut up a sponge or anything… and I’m not shaking pebbles in the bong like that one guy suggested. I’m using 91% didn’t have money for 99% it’s $30.. How does iodize salt compare with kosher??; I have some iodize and will be buying the kosher salt to try soon.
