Bong water additives

That is kinda like asking if there is an air filter to keep an air filter from becoming dirty.
Use an ash catcher to keep particulates from entry into the bong.
Use a vape to keep the nasty combustibles out.
You should still change the water daily/before each session.

 

There exists a substitute for bong water that sorta prevents resin from sticking to the bong

But I can't quite remember the name of the product..

Rather use a couple of drops of Lemon juice...
Problem is none of these Keep the Bong clean above the water line..

 

Dump out the water after every smoke and and get new icy water every time. Also for all of you out there who clean their bongs, try Goo Gone! That product takes off resin and cleans up a bong like brand new really fast and efficiently. They sell it in Home Depot and a bunch of other stores it's used for like stickers and stuff

Yes there is use 1 drop of dawn dish soap it will not get dirty with just one drop in there.

 

Just clean it often and don't buy the store bought solution to clean it. You do not need that.

To clean your bong you need to buy 99% rubbing alcohol. And sea salt or kosher salt. Dump out all of your water. Add about 2 tablespoons of salt (has to be the big chunky salt because this acts as a scrubber)
Then add about 2 cups rubbing alcohol and swish repeatedly until it's clean. If you do this often you can get away with hardly any material in the bong and it will still clean quickly. If you don't do it often you will use a lot of alcohol and it will take quite a while to clean.
Clean it weekly like this and you won't have to worry about adding anything to the water.

I use Rez Block. Love it. Swirl it around after cleaning and filling my bong making sure I drops directly on the places that are hard for me to clean on my glass pipes. I also started using kosher salt and 420 Glass and Pyrex cleaner on my glass pipes and screens. I just swirl that stuff around n my pipe and cleans like a sparkling dream. Just read directions.
It has made my cleaning so much easier. I used to have to throw away my little glass screens because there was no way to clean them all the way. Now when tgey get dirty I just put them in a little container in my smoke box and when I get a few there I put them all in a little glass bowl for a few minutes and with a few brushes they are like new. I bought a pack of 20 screens and I love having a fresh one whenever I want.

Lol true that. I do I hate my bong to be dirty ..and my dirty is probably somebody else's clean. Lol the Rez Block and 420 glass cleaner keeps mine "my kind of clean" without too much effort. But if you are looking for self cleaning bong cleaner ....well that will come when we have self washing dishes, riding vacumn cleaners, true self cleaning toilets and babies with self changing diapers. Lmao.

 

Hmm what we need is a self cleaning bong ,have to make one I let you know if it works.
(can't give the idea away might be worth some money looks like.)

 

I think both RezBlock and PieceWater are BS. RezBlock causes mold unless you replace it daily, PieceWater costs $20 per litre and still needs daily changing.

So yeah if you have to change it regularly anyway, why bother with expensive crap at all? Just use normal water and clean once a week with IPA.

 

so far the self cleaning bong is working kinda kool cleans as it cools the smoke water heats up so only have it plugged in when taking hits needs a rocker switch adding a air pump with air stone to give some assistance on inhaling nexted .let you know so far no tar rings water chamber stays clean just not the rest of it bowl and glass mouth piece.

 

I am waiting for someone to put Rain-X in their bong in hopes of not having to clean it.

 

lol hope not, using wine instead of water will keep your piece spot less just invert it a couple times so the wine coats the piece after the session is done acid and the alcohol does magic plus the taste can be anything nowadays strawberry wine tasted great.

you could coat the inside of the glass with mineral oil or pure vg but than you just made it dirty in a different way

 

With all the fucked up stuff I've read on here. People cleaning bongs with carburetor cleaner, using acetone in an acrylic bong and wondering why it melted....

Yeah, it wouldn't surprise me one bit to read about some chav putting Rain-X in their bong.

Pure VG is not a great idea either, because the goes moldy when it goes off. Mineral oil will 'only' go rancid. Personally I don't like the idea of anything but water in my bong.
Ages ago on a party we put Cointreau liquor in a bong, which is a great way to get really fucked up really fast. Probably the second worst hangover I have ever had.

 

Even with RezBlock I still change my water out daily truthfully because I have immune problems and can't take a chance on any bugs getting a cozy home in there. Lol I also use the 420 to get it sparkling clean then rinse super clean with water before refilling. It would be soooooooo nice just to not have to worry about it but I know for me personally any debris left behind is a hiding place for something to grow. Since I have sever arthritis handling my piece which is big (Blaze Julia -my first bong and oh how I love her) is difficult the RezBlock at least makes cleaning easier plus I'm known for keeping that bowl clean throughout the day. Sucks to be me but the bud makes me happy and well so it worth it.
