More percs = more resistance and more difficult to clean. I prefer beakers over straight but that's just personal preference.
Is a diffuser down stem enough to replace a No percs or what ? My honey comb perc won’t clean in my other thread , I’ve tried multiple cleaners too . Can’t add a diffuser to it cuz the design tho .
My closest Smoke shop is Quansett hut and doesn’t look like they have anything even as good as the one that I’m using. The thicker cheap ones on grascity have no percs , I’m worried my mom would get angry to order something online but can’t get 7-9mm easily local . You can’t taste the resin build up at all but the honeycomb perc doesn’t cool down smoke enough, no ice catcher . Do non perc beakers hit smooth ? Or perc needed . what’s best budget option for smooth smoke? If I got something locally it wouldn’t be very good .

Percs are more maintenance for cleaning and filling with water/getting the water levels right, but they do allow for more filtration so it will be smoother. Take your pick. Personally I vape pretty often these days and don't need to clean my bong that often since I don't use it all the time so I like the having percs as I do. Honestly cleaning isn't much more difficult at all anyway, but it will kind of depend on the specific bong too. Just go with your gut for now, you can always try a different bong later if you want. Either way has it's pros and cons.
Most the multiple perc models are either really thin glass or very expensive it seems . Maybe I’ll wait til I find a model with percs for not too much money, just wondering if smoke will be a lot harsher on non perc ice bongs !? ? If I already have a straight tube should I try beaker or no perc straight?
Do you only want to buy off grasscity or are you open to other shops? Just asking since all the bongs you linked are for grasscity. Personally I like dhgate for the price to quality you can find if you bother to read reviews and make sure you buy something decent. I paid like 35 bucks for a bong with 2 percs that's thick and recently threw a 15 or so ashcatcher from amazon on and it kicks ass. Smoke isn't that harsh without a perc, water will cool it down either way. Percs just get it that extra step or two smoother which is nice but without it will definitely be no problem.

amazon I think isn't supposed to be selling glass really (with their polices and whatnot) but they still do sell some if you look around. Like I said there's dhgate, there's also ebay and wish. If you're ok with spending more there's thickassglass too. I mean I personally am just of the mindset I want to spend as little as I can to get the most I can for it, and feel I did well with that. I think there's a lot of bullshitting that goes on in the glass world and most people could save a ton with a bit of knowledge.
I have a matrix perc in my mobius, doesn't add any drag, clears instantly and cleans easily as well. I have seen other percs add a lot of drag and pieces of weed ND ash get stuck inside and mold. So it depends who makes it.

I never smoked from a dhgate. Never heard of it. I would never buy a bong I haven't tested with water, or weed. Luckily I know people with nice bongs, I get to sample them and make a choice.
I noticed the mention of ice cold bong rips which I'm a huge fan of at this moment in my life, it has no perc but hits smooth as fuck, its specifically made to go in the freezer, the top detaches from the beaker and there's a liquid in the glass just like a freeezer cup with that liquid shit in the middle, same idea, and the glass is thick forsure. You don't NEED percs either. I have bongs with and without percs and I use the ones without percs so much more often. You also don't need to go super thick glass. Super thick glass isn't always quality either. Plus you've got consider weight. Trust me a 9mm bong gets super heavy after a little bit, especially when you're baked. Phoenix Star are China made.
