According to manswers bongs deliver ~70% thc, while pipes deliver ~25% Bongs are way smoother, but if your gonna get a bong, be prepared to drop over $100.

Honestly, get this and spend the extra money. Shipping was a few days short of two weeks, but damn was it worth it. I love this bong. Learn your chemistry. Water holds CO2 all the time. Infact that's a huge issue of global warming since warming temperatures will release more non-polar chemicals. You're wrong.
THC is not CO2, in my logical brain, that kinda says something. If the THC can travel through vapor, there's no reason water would trap the THC.

I never said nothing could be trapped in water, water molecules can harbor many elements and sediment, however I don't believe that THC is one of those it can harbor in a large amount, if that were the case, people could get high off of "weed tea" but they can't and if they could, they would have to super saturate the water with marijuana I would think. Sort of like putting too much sugar in tea.

There have been studies that have found thc %'s to be lower the more diffusion, if you're logical think about it this way. Your smoking apparatus is a hedge maze. A pipe starts by burning and go'es straight to the lungs with no twists or turns or dead ends to hold onto things. A bong starts with many different pathways (bubbles) some of which catch some people. So the straight maze you will get more people to complete the maze without getting trapped. See? You started trying to talk down from your logical brain comment, as if what I said was not logical, but put enough thought into it and you see how it works.
I understand what you're saying, however I would think if the device is as simple as a standard bong of course it's gonna hit the water first, as it's all about the suction, but a two or three piece isn't terribly different I wouldn't think as the path still leads to the same place, albeit a little bit longer. Something that's straight but holds more volume, I would think it works fine either way. I suppose I'll find out when it gets here.

They're both good. The bong will filter out large smoke particles that do heavy damage to your lungs. Over the span of a very rough estimation of 100 tokes of each you'd probobly have to take 5 or 10 more from the bong ,if each toke smokes the same amount of bud, to equal the pipe. So the pipe is like an unfiltered cigareete, gets you more tobacco but holy shit does it hurt your lungs. THC being non-polar just prevents all the THC going into the water, a good amount will still make it into the water with the carcinogens. Oddly enough some of the worst things we want to filter from the smoke is even less polar than THC.
It's better than coming to this thread, posting something wrong, and not even attempting to source it. I'm sure manswers isn't just gonna make up facts and numbers. Also, anyone that has used both should know .5gs > .5 gs in a bowl.
