Hello guys, my first post here! A lot of smokers know what Bong Lip is: your lips stain after a bong toke. I myself haven't experienced it for years until recently when I got a new, small-sized bong. If you don't have any stain, that's fine, that means your bong functions as it should. As for people who do experience this... I've done my research on the matter, so here's my take. When the smoke in your bong is too hot as it enters your mouth, it stains your lips on the way out. It usually happens because it doesn't have enough space and air to bond with. That's all it is. People say, get your lips out of the way, but I wanted to fix the root of the issue, rather than mask it. So, I started thinking, how do I extend my bong to give the smoke more space to cool before it enters my mouth? 32mm x90cm Vinyl Tubing by Pope from Bunnings did the job for me. The thing is, pretty much all bongs have rims on their top, the size of mine is 35 mm, edge to edge. Get the Tube, cut it to your preference, dip the Tube into boiling water for a few seconds and then put the rim into it, push it as far as it goes and you'll have a seal. (assuming your bong has a standard neck) I suggest using cold water carefully to harden it, just be careful not to crack your glass. I have a picture if these instructions are insufficient. It fixed the problem instantly for me, I can't get any stain on my lip no matter how big the cone or how hard I rip. Let me know if this worked for you!

Never heard of it are you smoking through a cheap Chinese piece? I've never heard anything like this before bruh
My bong has a sweet honecomb chamber and it costed me around a 100 bucks, but it's tiny, I wanted to switch from my giant piece for a while. It's small size is what likely causing the stain. If you google the words, you'll see plenty of posts. Also, I clean my bong religiously, without any solutions or chemicals, so no, the stain doesn't come from cheap quality.
I'm thinking its small rigs that do it then I don't usually fuck with small bongs I like to milk it when I hit the bong

Resin lips? Like the brown sticky shit (hehe) on your lips after a big hit? I know it, very weird phenomenon tho as sometimes i get it hit after hit and sometimes it rarely happens... Maybe it's strain dependent? I own bot china and custom glass but i never really paid attention as to which bong causes it.

i have this ''problem'' too. if i dab too much in a row or hit the bong too heavy.. its a pretty obvious thing, the smoke carries that resinous things, the more smoke touches one spot, the more resin will stick to that spot.. twax joints give me serious resin theeth too, but i just eat it
Wow...they're just killing ya Res lips happened to my bongs that retailed for 1000$+ I sold them since, only because every hit delivered res lips. I find percs in flower bongs unless as it only helps resin get to your lips. I'd like to see a picture of what you did and would like to try myself
I came here JUST to ask about this! I thought Bongs filtered stuff out better? So why the heck do I get huge resin stains on my mouth from a bong but not a small glass pipe? So weird. I'm now 100% certain that smoking bongs put wayyyy more tar in your lungs than pipes or joints.
