Bigbuds99 Backyard Organic No Till

  1. I took one of the closets in my house and put a 6” fan/filter in the top. Full time drying area and storage for trim equipment in the bottom. The door has a 2” gap in the bottom for air to get pulled through.

  2. Very nice....but you have to clean that dust filter on your intake ;)

In all seriousness, I'd like to get a little better control over my humidity levels as I dry. This is the very last, and one of the most important, steps and one where I need to up my game!

I'm going to need a better system than taking over the entire bathroom every few months, I like your setup. I just don't have any extra closets to use so was planning to setup the tent in the corner of an unused spare bedroom to facilitate the drying process.

  3. I'm lucky, the basement is at a constant 55% RH

Yeah yeah! Lmao! I replace the outer cover every 6 months. Certainly not going to mess with it while buds are hanging.

Drying tent in the spare bedroom sounds like a good plan.

  5. Speaking of filters, do you find that they eliminate odor completely? I just bought a $200+ Can 50 Filter and vent outside under the deck. Small grow, and I can still smell that pungent goodness (not a lot, but after week 7, I really don't want guests coming over - put it that way).

It helps to have the air flowing all in one direction. I think Phresh filters are better than most and last for 2 years. Though I do buy a cheaper iPower filter for veg and the drying closest. Using the best one in flower where it counts, lol.

  9. Purple Punch all trimmed and jarred up, 8 oz of sweet organic buds. Only lost about 1/4 ounce to mold, one of my paper bags was a little to full (wet) and I neglected to layer the buds with paper so they were sitting on top of each other.

  11. Napali Pink - Trimmed and Drying. You can still see some of the pink hairs in the dry and finished product. Ended up with about 14 1/2 Gallon mason jars from those 2 plants Also have a nice bin of popcorn buds I'm going to make Ice Water Hash with.

  15. Thanks very much. Still need to refine the very last step to control the dry and humidity a little better. the first half of my harvest is too dry.

  16. Thanks very much. The Napali Pink will be included in next years outdoor garden for sure, the plants were pretty huge and reminded me of Blue Dream I've grown in the past.

Mirage will probably be made into hash, since the drying process was leas than ideal. I could not get to all the trimming in time and this batch went a little off. I'm considering making ice water hash with it or possibly baking with it. No mold that I can see but the buds were a little to wet and turned a kind of brown, not seeing any obvious signs of mold but not something I feel comfortable smoking when I've got more than enough to hold me over until I get my indoor garden going.

4x4 Bed all filled up and ready to go. Just need to water with Aloe, add some worms and then the new plants. Recycled my old (6) 15 Gallon No Till pots and topped off with some new soil and compost, as well as added some rock dust and a bunch of Bio-Live I had lying around.

Some Clones and a bunch of MOB seeds that I grabbed recently.

My first Aloe Only Clone looks to be doing well after 4 days. I no longer use a dome and I also don't trim any excess leaf. The root riot cubes are kept moist, occasionally sitting in a pool of water for a day or so and then allowed to get to the point of almost dry before another good soaking. Clone looks pretty amazing considering there are no roots, no dome, and I don't mist it.

The clones you see in the back are getting scrapped. They were taken off of a flowering plant and they have been "stuck" trying to reveg for over a month now. I'm giving up on them having already secured fresh clones to replace those I was trying to keep.

Bubble Hash Time. (Pineapple Upside Down Cake)

The Darkest batch was the first run with the shortest runtime. The top batch was actually the last run (#6) and longest runtime.

    Run 1 - 1 min
    Run 2 - 2 min
    Run 3 - 3 min
    Run 4 - 4 min
    Run 5 - 10 min
    Run 6 - 20 min

    45u (actually everything between 45-120)
    IMG_20191016_143858.jpg

120U - I combined a few runs and did not collect each batch individually like I did with the 45U. 6 runs in total
    IMG_20191016_143853.jpg

    160U - 6 runs - 3 batches collected.

    45-120U - 2nd Run - 2 Min (Napali Pink)

    IMG_20191016_225644.jpg

Love how the batches turn more like sand after every run, with the old stick method there would be so much contamination after 2-3 runs and the product was always much darker. The Wash Machine is simply amazing.

    Run 1 - 1 Min
    Run 2 - 2 Min
    Run 3 - 3 min
    Run 4 - 5 min
