  10. What's the story on the gummies..first time making em, how did it go?

  11. Well ive always made butter or Canna-CocoOil. My kid got me a gummie making kit. Canna-Butter isn't a wise choice for gummies. But Ive usually always got it so for starters I tried gummies with butter. I do believe experts do not recommend it all because the butter seperates from the gelatin, rather quickly also like 30 hours after I took em from the freezer. If I woulda known I would ha e at least kept em frozen until consumption. They tasted ok and they sure did the trick otherwise.
So im not making butter this time around. Im gonna try my first batch of tincture. Except I'm a smidge OCD at times and I insist on using Ever clear (190 proof Grain alcohol) for my newest adventure. Which puts me in a pickle. Neither Michigan, Ohio nor Pennsylvania sell 190 proof. Illinois does !! But that's not a state i visit often. And no I cant even have it shipped here legally. Until then I shall remain patient.

  12. I see Lions gear..I'm over by Ann Arbor
I have seen gummies done with butter and thought it was strange..glad you tried em though. I wanted to use some alcohol for a few things and gave up trying, for lack of booze lol
    Edibles look yummy

  13. I noticed people using coconut oil for gummies. Im sure it seperates like butter at some point tho.
Whelp Mr. Ann Arbor, see ya in April? I can't wait to go to Hash Bash. It'll be my first year. Im on 13 Mile and Woodward. I don't regret moving to Michigan 1 bit.

Oh and thanks ! I try to make something new every time. No repeats. Took me over a year to even consider making brownies. Everyone makes brownies. Im not everyone.

  14. Yeah quite possibly I'll be there in April..
    I'm a little North West of A2..
Oddly enough my best friend is up around 9 and Woodward..
I'm thinking trying coconut oil..I wanna make gummies..someone here led me in right direction..but I think everclear is needed..
I do have a friend who makes his own shine..I'd imagine something like that might work.

  15. Yay michigan!, boo no strong booze, lol. Unless you buy food grade ethanol on the net.
    Extractohol

Expensive but for me up in the tip of the mitt still cheaper than a long long drive.

I bought 5 gallons a few years ago and split it with a friend. I still have over a gallon left because I use a distiller to reclaim a portion of the alcohol.

To further save using lots of ethanol, I use 99% iso first, render that down, dilute with ethanol and freeze for 2-3 days, cold filter the plant waxes with unbleached coffee filters, and render that down to feco. A long process but worth it for me.

The now winterized oil is very clean, and very strong.
