Title pretty much explains itself haha. I keep having this issue after I grind my weed that when I use my fingers to put it in, I tend to spill some and it can get pretty wasteful! Does anyone have any strategies of getting around this?
You could use a guitar pick or something small like that to scoop it up with. Also you could have a rolling tray to load the bowl over so any that falls goes there. A piece of paper works in a pinch too.
Just dump it straight in your hand, cup it like your trying to scoop water and slide it right in wipe the leftover flakes from your hand into the bowl and presto clean pack.
Can I just...uh...put your weed from the grinder into a small bowl or container, over which you can pack your bowl. You're surely not grinding just bowl at a time right?
That's what magazines are for. They fold easily to make funnels and their slick covers make it easy to pour the spillage back into a container.

I noticed if you have your bowl towards where the weed is grouped up in your hand that the results are actually a lot better! Thank you for suggesting this! How would that help exactly? I've had the same issue with bigger bowls as with smaller ones. right but I have tried that before and about 1/5 of it spills on the table. If i'm understanding you correctly? A spoon never even crossed my mind before! That's genius! I'll give that a try too. Thanks man. I've tried magazines before. Sometimes it sticks but it usually works like a charm!
As mentioned above, a spoon works great. I was using those little baskin-robbins tasting spoons until a friend of mine gave me a nice metal one. Sent from my SM-G935P using Grasscity Forum mobile app
The other nice thing about the right kind of spoon, I cut/grind using the edge of the spoon directly in my small swing-top storage/serving jars. Some weed I don’t even grind, just chop w/my spoon and use. Push a few buds to the side, break it up... Scoop right into your bowl.
Make a circle with your thumb and first finger, hold it over the bowl and use it as a guide to put the bud in the bowl.
These have been very helpful in advice. Thank you so much. Just in case someone is dealing with the same issue, I have come across an electric grinder that seems to help the issue a lot! It looks like this: You just stick the weed in the open sockets and it goes through the tube you see on the left. Love the inventions people come with for maintaining their weed. I dig it!
recently visited new york, and the subway cards you get there fold nicely and are slick for a nice pour.
