Hey, I'm a pothead. And I've been through like three pieces in the last 5 monthes. I want to make a permanent piece, not one of those ghetto fab duct tape and tinfoil bullshit lol. Just a pipe that will last as long as I don't break it, or forget were I put it....lol. Yeah so any ideas of materials, building plans, etc would be great! If you have access to a power drill, you can make a pretty legit pipe out of wood. I made this one, I drilled the stem and a hole for the bowl, make sure the holes meet up though, then use sandpaper to make the bowl hole more like a bowl. Use a smaller drill pit for the bowl than the stem. I've been using mine for months, it was made out of like a square piece of wood so it can stand up without spilling and I can pack right on it, and I'm sire I could throw it out of a moving car and it still wouldn't be broken
Buy a diamond drillbit the same size as a downstem youre able to get or have laying around and go buy a Voss bottled water. They're about $3 here for an 800 ml one (like in the pic), pretty thick glass, and they look pretty awesome.
ive made a 2 chamber glass bong outa 2 40oz beer bottles and its amazing, i used a drill with a diamond tip bit that u can get at home depot and i use the tubing from tv cable wire, ( take out the metal inside) i used bike parts for the bowl and multi-purpose cawking seal stuff so that there was no leaks , use a tiny bit of weed and use it all to white ash in one hit. ive never made anything better.
yo juat get a cheapo glass slide set and a plastic bottle, use gum to seal to it and when your all grown up and dont wanna toke out of a plastic bottle find a new vessel then swap the slide out. possibilities are endless.
If you got the right tools you can turn a piece of soapstone into a pipe. My friend gave me a nice chunk of stone and I turned it into a nice pipe in 2 weeks.
Made this bad boy yesterday. Took 3 people, although it can be done with one person with the right tools (vice grip and hose or sink). One person held the bong down tight, I poured water on the vase while the other person used the glass/tile diamond drill bit. If theses are reinforced they make decker tubes. But you're right they are plastic. I always reinforced them so that the chambers didn't have any sort of "collapse" when pulling air through. It really reduces drag if your making a bong out of them.

Nah there are glass ones. The ones I linked, the 800 ml bottles, are all glass that I've seen. The smaller ones are the ones that come in plastic.
Go to a flea morket and get a big display bottle for something then click this and follow the steps on there.
