we all know people turn to plastic soda bottles, buckets, and apples to make innovation smoking apparatuses. my question is, who has used something that we might not have seen before? i'm having a little trouble keeping my bottle creations airtight, which is a slight hindrance to my buzz catching. smoking out of foil might give me Alzheimer's so its about time to 86 that. suggestions with household items would be greatly appreciated! also, if there is a thread already like this i apologize. i tried the search function and every thread on GC with the word bong came up, not exactly relevant.... thanks!
Well I'm still working on a sweet bong but I'll tell you what I use for mine. I played drums in the band and made friends with a stoner trumpet player. I talked him into selling me his spare mouthpiece for 5 bucks. I got a sphere coke bottle and a plastic candy cane full of pixie stixs for the actual bong base. Well putting the plastic candy cane tube onto the the top of the bottle wasn't hard because it slipped right over it and I electrical taped it so it was air tight. For the downstem I had to kinda melt it and expanded it so The mouthpiece would fit. For the downstem to go into the bottle I just made a hole, put it through, and found some puffy stuff that was like gum almost to make it airtight. So after making it I was pumped and filled it with water, packed a bowl, and hit it. It worked great but I set it on my table and it fell over but I caught it before it spilled. The trumpet mouth peice was heavy and I couldn't put enough water in it to keep it from tipping over so now I'm getting more stuff and I'm gonna try n make ashcatchers and stuff and hopefully get a glass bowl. Right now I've only got a glass pipe that's pretty sick. But this is gettin long as fuck but i have some pretty cool ideas and shit I'll give you and prolly post some pics of my stuff I make. Hope I helped, peace
I made one out of an old speaker once. Hit it through the port hole with a water bottle connected and tucked inside, then drill the bowl perpendicular to the port hole. Kinda hard to explain but it was pretty cool.
My friend made a sic ass bong. His mom took all his bong+accessories so he needed to make one. He got a flashlight and took off the bottom of the handle for the mouthpiece. He got a drill bit and attached it to a pen and put it into the side of the flashlight. Epoxy hold it shut. He then got a metal vinegar lid for the bowl. It worked so well and was decently smooth. It was also light and portable and durable. He then later got paint markers and put graffiti on it saying 'flashbong' which was the name.
hey guys, let me tell you the easiest and best way to get airtight seal for waterbottles is to NOT cut a hole with anything, but to bring a the flame of a lighter slowly to touch the spot you want to make the hole in. Start by making a small hole, see if the billpiece can be snugly pushed in, if not burn the hole a tiny bit bigger and repeat. You will using the bottle like its a bong, works better than using any tape. just dont burn the hole too big, small increments is key!
You can get screen from a hardware store or a headshop, and when i need something air tight i use some epoxy resin. For a dollar i got some 2 part epoxy from harbor freight tools, and it is some strong stuff. It dries stiff in minutes. I have made some pretty cool bongs. For my best ones i used nice clean glass bottles and brass fittings for the bowl. I also use a pipe with many tiny (.028") holes that sits in the water for a diffuser instead of a simple stem. This increases the surface area of smoke touching the water so you get a much smoother hit. Now the only thing i use is a homemade vape, though
Image - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting i used one of those big long Slurpee cups u get from the exhibition or carnival i used a hollowed out pen i wasted 2 and a 1/4 socket i made the hole with a knife and put it in (lol) its not airtight but water dosen't leak and the only way air leaks is it u drag really hard please tell me what u think this was my very first time making a bong
