Hello! I'm new to the bong universe and need to know what type of bong works best for the "sticky weed". What I mean by "best" refers to the best hits and especially cleaning the bong. Any advice will be appreciated! Thank you!✌❤
Stay away from percs or extra percs. Percs cause drag and get dirty making them difficult to clean. I don't purchase bongs with percs anymore. Smaller rigs with one or no percs.
Yeah look at my thread to the op, a single honeycomb perc is a lot of work to keep clean . So you gotta clean it at least once a day or more .. I wonder if there’s silicone or anything I could wrap around the baseplate of my old bong to replace the tape . Tape is ugly ehhh it’s gotta go but probably will leave sticky residue . I’d suggest a 12-18” bong or smaller if you want a mini bong . Perc or two is fine just go 7mm , or no thinner then 5mm.
I recently have had or still have what I think are salt stains on one of my bongs. It's just two little white spots in a PERC!. Tried Crystal simple green for 2 nights and it didn't touch it. Now I'm mixing vinegar with 99% iso and letting that soak. So please avoid percs they are more trouble then they are worth.
Any pics what salt stains look like ? Probably better to have no percs , add an ash catcher for a perc ?? Is cheaper to just clean it more often .. I told my mom my iso won’t clean it 100% , she just assumed that stains were regular in bongs .. was like why you clean it so much . I re glued the bass too , old stuff was wearing out . Turns out the tape wasn’t waterproof enough. wonder why they don’t make silicone skin protection for them : ?? Something basic like this , tho you may want a USA made brand .. A simple bong like a beaker with no percs is easier to clean but you can throw an ashcatcher on any piece to cut down on cleaning quite a bit. But of course the ashcatcher will get dirty pretty fast. However that's much quicker and easier to clean than the whole bong.
That sounds like a hard water spot not salt since I'm pretty sure the salt would just dissolve. You could check by running distilled water through it.
Yeah the trouble is finding a durable ash catcher , I’ll never buy one from a headshop again mine died within 4 months of getting it . I tossed it out wasn’t worth smoking with glue keeping it together not to mention bad cuts from glass . I use filtered water for the bong tho , no hard water .
I got one on amazon that had reviews of people saying it's the best they've used after trying several. I tend to go by reviews more than anything and in doing so have found good but cheap glass.
Nice what specific model got links ? Most name brand stuff online headshops they cost $40-170 or so . A few made to freeze ..
I'll PM you since I don't want to spam. And yeah headshops mostly definitely overcharge. And pretty sure the vast majority are just buying pretty affordable glass wholesale and then marking up to an extreme degree.
I've also never been a guy who bought a piece with a lot of percs. I always add an ashcatcher which will give you that little bit of extra filteration. That being said I do think you should look into the type of single perc you buy. I prefer a showerhead style perc - Diffused down-stem or inline perc.
