If you have some Ballistol I suggest you give it a try. I poured about a capful in and shook it around so it coated the inside. After a couple of minutes I added some water and shook it up and then let it sit for a couple of minutes. When I rinsed it out it was pristine. I mean like new. Just thought I'd share that- I was amazed!
