Gravity Bongs have treated me well over the past couple of years. I had never used one until I got to college but it became necessary to preserve pine and get a substantial high. They are also perfect for when I come home for breaks and want to smoke without my parents knowing. There are some substantial benefits of a gravity bong, some of which include: 1. Preservation of Pine 2. Best High (this is a personal opinion) 3. Discretion (if done properly the gravity bong gives off almost no residual smoke) 4. Easy to Make 5. Disposable Over the past year I have developed a quick and easy way to assemble a gravity bong. The following tools will be necessary to duplicate my simple GB: 1. Lighter 2. 20oz Water Bottle (you can use any size bottle you like, strictly personal preference) 3. 1 BIC Pen 4. 6x4in Piece of Aluminum Foil 5. Scissors 6. Toothpick There are a couple of things you need to do right off the bat. The first would be to fold the aluminum foil in half, I think this makes it easier to work with and makes it less likely that the foil will tear. The second and most important step is to gut the pen, cut it in half, and make four cuts into one end of the pen (these cuts should be between 1/4th to 3/8th inches deep). This process creates four flaps which can be bent backwards in order to create the ‘bowl.' Next, take your aluminum foil which has been folded in half and gently form it to the end of the pen which has been made to resemble a bowl. I then typically wrap a twisty-tie at the base of the bowl and trim away the excess foil (this is not a necessary; I just do it to keep things clean and tidy). Then take your toothpick and make four holes in the foil so that the smoke can pull through. Next, use a lighter to burn a dime sized hole in the bottom of your water bottle. Then take the cap of the water bottle and melt it enough to allow for the pen to be pushed through the cap. I prefer melting the cap as opposed to cutting because it creates a tighter seal and allows the pine to pull through more efficiently. The last thing to do is fill the bowl up with some pine, then fill the bottle up with water plugging the whole with a finger. Apply the cap onto the bottle, hold the bottle over a sink and light the bowl while simultaneously letting your finger of the whole, releasing the water. The water bottle will fill with dense smoke, when all of the water has been released, take the cap of and suck the smoke from the opening. (Always make sure a window has been opened prior to smoking) go to the window and blow the smoke outside. This will prevent the room you have smoked in from smelling of pine. Disclaimer: there are many variations of using the gravity bong which will work just as well as mine, this is merely my preferred method of using, taking into account my personal surroundings.
