Ash catcher

Discussion in 'Bongs, Dab Rigs, Bubblers, Water Pipes' started by Toroso, Dec 27, 2019.

  1. Shopping for a new bong. The ash catchers have caught my eye as it seems it would help keep things a lot cleaner. Anyone have any comment on that?

  2. they don’t only keep your water cleaner, they also cool down your hits better. It’s like a free added percolator

  3. Im really obsessive about having clean pieces.
an ash catcher will keep bongs like 100x cleaner than it would be with out it.

I swap out the ash catcher water at least once a day. usually twice.

and the bong water once a day.

ordered this from GC a few weeks back. the ash catcher is great. the bong is alright.

  5. I should have worded that different.

the bong is actually amazing, I love it.

but the base of it isn't flat, and its got a pretty decent wobble.

it sits on my bong shelf and NEVER moves unless I'm using it.

so no worries really. but still.

    3/5 stars

  7. Thanks JKill that helps alot. I was actually kinda interested in one like you have there.

I have another question. Price and quality. I see bongs going for $150 plus on websites and then see similar on Amazon for a whole lot less. So does it follow that more expensive is better quality and vice versa? You mentioned that Blaze has a wobble, was it expensive?

  8. the Black Leaf bong has a wobble.

I never even contacted customer service about it. I'm sure they would have let me exchange it

the Blaze ash catcher is a bit tippy because of its design, but I just make sure to be careful setting it down.

the 90 degree ash catcher is out of stock I guess.

  9. you get what you pay for... generally.

you don't need to spend 800$ on a bong like a ROOR or something

but a decent 5mm-7mm borosilicate bong will be around $100 at least IME

  10. ROOR, LOL! Not in this lifetime. tks for th einfo.

  11. I just got 2 ashcatchers with black Friday deals. One 14mm the other 18mm so they fit almost all of my bongs. I love them. I mean they don't stop 100% but the bongs are definitely cleaner than they would be without one. I got them mainly to help stop my perculators from clogging up so easily

  12. I wish I used mine more :( It sits around collecting dust.

I find I always end up leaving them in the bong, and risk breaking it, or find myself slacking off on using it 100% of the time, which is kind of why I used it, to keep the bong clean.
