I haven't gotten or seen any new bong in the past 5 years, I've been busy with shit and haven't been smoking like I used to. Are all bongs pretty much at its peak and almost any bong is good? I'm looking for a new bong, and hesitant to spend 500 on a bong like I used to. But would love a great hitting bong, and looks nice.
If you are talking about the innovation of bongs I think we are about as good as it gets. a nice beaker style bong or even a straight tube depending on if you are smoking flower or concentrate is something to take into account also. If the bong is for concentrate you want a smaller mouth piece and less percalators. But for flower a nice wide opening with an ice catcher and lots of percalators. I agree with the other guys though anything less than about 150 and quality is just not there.
There are some very old threads from the early 2000's on here that demonstrate peoples way of using marijuana back then. Trust me it is not nice and a lot of it is dirty gross plastic bottles or they luckily found a metal pipe for tobacco, there weren't many nice bongs and at most it was just an acrylic small ugly one. We should be happy we have some sexy ass glass nowadays considering what i've seen. A nice piece will cost 100-200$
I like smaller bongs, 12 inches at max, with a diameter of 1 inch. I feel it cools down the smoke enough, and its harder to get those harsh resiny hits that choke you than if it were a bigger and wider bong. This would by my first choice just off looks and size. Who pays $500 for a bong that does the same thing as a $20 or less one I've never paid over £20 for bong I'd rather buy a cheap piece & spend the rest of the cash on weed & munchies
I've never hit a $20 bong that hits as nice as my old $500 bong (mobius nano strato perc). Which is my point, are new $20 bongs as good as my 5 or 6 year old $500 bong? I'd like a new bong that hits really well.
My bong was $40. It's the perfect size. It's not too small. I hate tiny bongs. It's not too big either, where I have to put it on the floor to hit it. It's very thick glass and it's made to put ice in it. It's so easy to clean with a brush I got for wine making. I have an ash catcher on it so it stays pretty clean. You don't have to spend a lot. I guess it depends on where you live, and whether you have to order online or can go and look at them. Keep cleaning in mind when you get one.
Found a standard beaker bong 12" tall, 5" wide at the base. 1.5" top hole, has Ice thingies. 9mm thick glass. Has turned out to be the best bong I've ever smoked. Had a $90 price tag, I thought was steep but wth. My buddy went back a week later to buy the same one and found out it was supposed to be $190, hehe. California logo on the back and a gold leaf? circle with an ' M ' logo on the front. Popped a bubbler in and never looked back.
