I've made shit like that. I actually prefer to make my own pieces, it's cheaper (use scrap and found materials) and promotes creativity. I built a bong that pulls it's own hit a few days ago, and lastnight my brother whipped the dremel out and made a little wooden pipe that works incredibly. Keep creating, and happy toking. Also, I suggest using hot glue When making bongs and pipes out of plastic (and other materials, if you feel it has appropriate application), because it adheres tightly to the plastic bottle, and creates an air/water tight seal around your fittings.

Make an apple pipe, sooo much healthier than a tinny. Or, the money you'd spend on bud, SAVE IT! for like idk two weeks. Then go out there and get yourself a nice piece. GC has some for like 4-10 bucks. Or, get a zebra pen. Stainless steel barrel, make a pipe out of that. Hell of alot safer. If you can buy bud you're not hurtin THAT bad.
Theres nothing wrong with smoking out of homeade pieces in my opinion, but I would make a better one than the one you have pictured dont use foil for your bowl just use a socket. Heres my homeade piece I smoke out of it pretty often actually even though I have a glass spoon and a glass chillum also pictured there. But yeah my homeade bong is actually really nice its completely air tight, I used a sharpie tube for the down stem that is hot glued into the bottle then a pen tube with a socket in the top for the bowl the pen fits snuggly right into the sharpie so it slides in and out nicely while still being air tight I also put a rubber o ring on the pen tube so when you slide it into the sharpie it is nice and airtight. Sorry about the rambling lol im pretty baked

I don't think u have to be poor to use that... Some people just like it dirty. That's cool too. Do it however makes u happy, even if that is inhaling controversial theoretical aluminum particles. I personally have smoked outta some fucked up shit, but it makes me appreciate what I have now so much more. But if u put some dank ass bud in there, I bet more than & few would hit it.
