Air tight seal?

Discussion in 'DIY and Homemade' started by Corn Man, Jun 22, 2012.

  1. I am trying to make a simple homemade percolator bong out of two water bottles, I know how to make it all, but I cannot get the two bottles to come together air tight, I went out and bought smart water bottles to because they are completely flat, but when I put the water in, it leaks out. I have tried just duct tape, but that obviously sucks, and I have tried hot glue and that melts the plastic a little and still isn't perfect, I didn't know if there were any tips or tricks I was missing.

  2. ive never had problems with hot glue... ive seen a video... on youtube, but havent tried

  3. Hot glue usually works for me. I've even fixed cracked bongs with those and its chill.

Another ghetto method is to put gum over the gap/hole.

  4. You probably don't know, but do you have low temp or high temp hot glue guns?

  5. If the glue gun is fucking you over, just go over the stove and.heat the glue sticks up that way.

  6. try that putty stuff you use to hang up posters

  7. I use plumbers putty. It's awesome.

  8. At my local hardware store they have this super glue that bonds instantly and gets super hot within seconds. Works pretty well.

  9. i usually use gum when I dont feel like doing arts and crafts and just need a seal.
