Aeroponics 0.5m2 / SANlight Q6W

Discussion in 'Hydroponic Grow Journals' started by DeathZone, Jan 3, 2019.

  1. the “Best ppm meter in the world” is not your leaves mate...
    It’s an actual ppm meter.
    Follow it.
It tells you what to do.
Number goes up means the nutes are getting stronger.
That’s bad for lots of reasons .
Number goes down just a little from day to day is about as good as it gets.
Means the plants are taking everything in and have free roam to absorb what they want, when they want it.
Number dropping just a little as they feed means it’s the perfect strength.

That’s the opposite of what you’re doing.
I grow aeroponics too mate, profile pic is a single auto in a 4inch rockwool, balanced very precariously on a shelf of fresh air.
Get massively reduced growth rates the moment your ppm starts rising.
Keep it dropping and the ph swings perfectly to absorb everything.

The “deficits” you mentioned are toxicities and ph imbalances that you’re misdiagnosing.
Also the reason you’re getting poor growth.
You’ll also yield more from that with 1 or 2 autos trained properly.

Bit of a mouthful but seen you blaming a few reasons thereso thought I’d offer some constructive advice :)

  2. Yo man.

Thanks for your message. I do have a proper BlueLab meter, when i say leafs are best meters i meant you know metaphorically, and in here i always use meter and add nutrients precisely...

IN terms of problems - i do not have any problems in this grow ( well not that i am aware off ), and I am trying to go with what GHE say on the label therefore 1.6-1.7ec at the moment. My ph is constant, it goes up obviously when changing the reservoir but when it stabilize it stays where it is for days, up to next reservoir change which is done weekly.

You say that the growth is poor but when i think about this deeper - I do not really know whether this growth is poor or not, because there is nothing to compare this to... ? If we were both growing clones from the same mother under the same conditions, light etc. then we could compare this, but just by looking at this few photos above and my conclusions and demagoguery ( which may both be wrong ) - how can you say that the growth is poor ? In my previous grow logs i may have had poor growth - but maybe it wasn't really poor - again there was nothing to compare this to and i was thinking whether this is ok or not ... ? ( even with the same strains. If something goes from the seed - how can you say that one growth is poor and another isn't ?

I know i would possibly yield more from less plants - ie. 4 in each corners, but i am not after the biggest harvest, i can not finish this what i do now anyway ;)

all the best mate and thanks for your words :)

  3. Yo man :)
I had to leave the country for a longer period of time, plants were harvested as it says above. Obviously i know it was too early ( at least for one plant - the biggest one on the left hand side of the photo ) but a must is a must. In the end of the day I wasn't really bothered with the fact that it has to happen - i did few plants in my life... those weren't the first and as we can see now werent the last ones :)

  4. Yo.

Few days passed... I had to add a heater to the system. I didn't really wanted to do it, but it is winter. Minimum temp in the room was 15 max was 20. I have added a tube heater and after checking temp over a period of 48 h in few places of the room, an average is around 22oC ( min 21 max 24 ).

  6. Yo. Plants were out of control... 100 - 120 cm with an lst... In the end anyway I had to do super-cropping as they would not stop to stretch... Hard to take a proper photo as well. I will take these out of the wardrobe when it is finished and will show you what they became with a bottle of vodka so you can have an image... fuckin crayze and big they are, long internodes, nothing special about their genetics - i would say it is poor... but fuckin big if you know they are autos. Next grow will be Fem indicas - 12/12 from the beginning till the end.

  7. Yo.

It has been @ 95 days since i have started this grow and 55 days since the light has been switched onto Sanlight Q6W... I have been to a friendly farm around the place where i live and bought myself a GHE RIPEN. - I am not a big fan of this but again these autos were growing so long and started to flower so late i have to use this stuff. All they get now is ripen and I keep an ec @ 2.2 now, ph 5.5 - 5.9 Plants are still drinking quite a lot... Ph sloooowly goes down and ec rises, then i add a fresh water .... ... few more days, around 4. and i will flush them with pure water 5.8 ph and on 24th i will harvest these plants. They will be taken out of the box then into the bathroom so you can see a size of these.

  8. Yo ! 98 days.

The biggest plants are 125 cm, ( easy to measure as these tiles are 25cm ) i should have had these broken along with those on the left hand side.... I fucked it up a little bit and now i have these irregular trees on the right-hand side...These plants on the right hand side were smaller and I thought they will stop stretching and I only broke those biggest ones the left-hand side
Plants are not 100% mature yet, but something will be more or less ready before i will cut them, and the rest i will use to bake something. I can not wait longer with these and it has to be cut soon.

  9. Hi. Few photos... it has been @ 100 Days ... Now plants are getting a pure water (which isn't really pure as this EC from the tap is 0.6.. i do not wait with the water, i add straight from the tap and balance the ph when the system runs ) ... For another few days all they will get will be water and then the harvest time.

  10. Yo Guys...

The grow that was documented above has finished and after 3 weeks of drying there was 133 Grams of dried weed.

    Thanks for watching

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

The next grow has just started

The whole system apart from the seeds and the light cycle remains the same.

Humidity 81% and Temp inside propagation box - 26 Celsius

    Seeds - feminized
    Expert Seeds - Chemdog Gorilla
    80% indica
    flowering 60 days
    12/12 from start to finish

So far i was very lucky - i have 12 Chemdog Gorillas .... I will be even luckier if i will finish with 12 ...
....12 nice trees in no more than 90 days ... Lets hope i will not have a moments when i will be shaking like a dog during the thunderstorm...

Thanks and till the next update.

    Yo !!!

  11. Day 4 12 on 12 off

Plants are out of small propagation mini greenhouse,
12 plants are in their final system.
    Temp 28 oC, humidity 52%.

It will be freestyle in here, no training.

I expect the induction to take 3/4 weeks ( because of the light cycle most probably closer to 4 weeks ) , then 3 weeks of stretching/ flowering, and another 6/7 weeks of flowering including a week of flush with pure water. This is the plan.

    DSC01243.JPG

  12. 14 days / 12 on 12 off from the seed

    Ec - 1.0
    ph5.8
    temp min 19c , max 27c
Led - 70/75 cm from the plants

So far me and my plants are very happy.

  13. Yo !!!

19 Days 12 on / 12 off from the seed.
Plants are really healthy. The roots are snow white. When you look at it, it looks like myccorhizea in here ;) like there used to be in soil with great white ... Plants and their roots are growing nicely. Plants are relatively the same ( when we compare those 7 best developed to themselves )... Other 5 plants smaller, less developed - relatively the same as well, when compared to each other.

    Ec - 1.0
    Ph 5.8
    temp 19 - 27

Yo 28 days from the seed.

Plants are growing nicely, they have started flowering very slowly, 4 plants around 30 cm, 8 20-25, and the smallest - maybe 13 cm. I was expecting late flowering because they are going 12/12 from the seed.

    Yo.

48 days. Biggest plant is @ 98 cm, there is 5 plants above 90 cm including this one. The rest is above 80 cm. Mistake i have done in this grow - i should have cut the main top off when they were @ 30-40 cm........., I thought they will not grow stupidly big because they were starting on from: 12 on 12 off ... and a strain that is 80 % of indica . They are what they are, as you can see big plants... I hope that is it and they will stop stretching now ... I could do a suppercropping but i hope they will stop growing and i try to spread these through the growroom ... - as good as i can.

    ph 5.8
    ec - 1.4

Few photos after a foliar with an organic co2

  17. Yo ! 62 days. I had to break few main colas, plants would not stop to stretch. I do not like super cropping but i also do not like cutting fan leafs in the earlier time to control the plants...

    Yo.
87 days now. Pretty cool these plants are. Some of them look like a rockets... I also started to appreciate this led.
Now all they get is a ripen, ec of tap water 0.6, with ripen 1.0, at most 1.1, then pure water to lower an ec. Plants are very hungry, at least 2.5-3 liters of water a day a have to add to my reservoir. Few more days and then I plan to flush them with pure water for few more days and harvest it.
