Iv got the same seeds myself among others for next grow ,I’ll pull up a chair Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Left plant is still not quite right, but all in all no too bad. I plan on just letting things be unless we go south. Trimmed and readjusted all ties. The structure of the right plant is perfect. She's my pick for clones so far, but may change during flower. I think another 5 days to be safe, and we will take cuts, and switch to flower. That'll put us around 2 month veg. Honestly 1 plant would fill the tent nicely but ya know Sent from the future!
Plants are moving right along. They're not perfect by any means, but not too bad for my first soil mix. Definitely need to add oyster shell to the next soil batch. Hey we're learning as we grow. Friday will be taking cuts and flipping lights. Sent from the future
Nice training will have plenty of nuggets in there for sure!! Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Thanks man! This is basically how I've trained for a long time. Always works for my needs well. Been trying to find better info on the Gelato, but there isnt a lot out there it seems. No idea how heavy the stretch will be, so kinda just winging it. I saw someone else post their Gelato and same rough looking girls. From the reading she's harder to grow as she's extremely finicky. From my experience so far, that's true. 1 day at a time Sent from the future
I'd recommend some leds. I've had good experience with blurple panels like these: It's something about the color spectrum and the frequency of the light that makes them so good for flowering. They are inexpensive and require very little energy in comparison to HIDs too.
I'll update my first post later, thanks for reminding me about that. The lights in the tent are maxsisun leds, one they call 1200 the other 600. True watt between the two is 402 from the wall. Sent from the future
Today is the day, timer has been set to 12/12. The plan was to adjust ties today, but I decided to wait till we get some stretching in. Began clearing all the bottom growth, and took 3 cuts off each for clones. No powders or gel used. All I do is shave the outer skin on the bottom inch, and make a cross hair style cut. Use a pipette to make a hole in the soil, and plop them in and backfill. Pretty straight forward Sent from the future
I was gonna wait for the weekend to adjust ties, but I been bored and idle hands and all that. So did a little this morning. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I let these get too big in veg lol. Basically I'll be removing some growth over the next 2 weeks, or I'll have an intergrown mess. Yesterday they were watered with 1.5g each. They took all but a pint jar worth off the bat, and the rest soaked back up. Nothing but well water this entire time. First 4 before, last 4 after, the tent is full lol Sent from the future
Here they are today. Just gonna let them stretch from here on out. I'll defoliate as needed the next 2 weeks The tops are showing signs of flowering, will start this Friday as day 1 flower give them a couple more days Sent from the future
By the way @tootall. Gelato is probably one of my top strains. I have vape and flower of gelato right now. Really popular here in chicago. Sent from my SM-G965U using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Good morning guys, thank you and welcome to my journal! The thread title may change, but this will stay my journal for learning organics. Today I'll be starting my first worm bin. The plan is just to collect some decomposing plant matter from the woods, bit of garden soil, some spent coffee grounds, vegetable scraps, and 250 red wigglers. I'll take pics as I go. Sent from the future
Decided just to kis with the worm bin. Dug a few wash buckets full of soil from 1 of fell trees on the property. To that added some leaves, sticks, wood, and unbleached packing paper. Mixed in on top some left over broccoli, apple, potato, rice and beans from the past few days. After adding worms just covered with a bit of cardboard. Holes around the top and in the lid for air exchange, and a few on the bottom in case of drainage. Sent from the future
So today is 9 days since flip, day 2 flower. Girls stretched another 3 or 4 inches since Tuesday. The past 2 days the rh in the tent has been in the 80s during dark hrs, so did a minor defoliation to allow better airflow. Raised the canopy fan and adjust a couple ties. Cuts are coming along, 3 are showing yellowish new growth so confident they're rooted. 1 isn't going to make it, the other 2 are still in the air. Also found a spider in the small tent, thought it was a black widow at first but it's not. Worm bin is doing good as well. After the first night I checked before work. Had around 20-30 worms on the wall, flicked them back down and they've stayed down. I'm guessing they just weren't used to the new environment. Oh yeah I changed my watering routine as well. Instead of 1.5g every 4 days or so, I'm going 1/2-3/4g every 2 days. Just trying to keep the soil happy. I'll be building a new soil soon. Gonna leave a little P out and mix both the old and new batches. I definitely see the P excess in this soil mix. The blueish color to the leaves, constant signs of Fe, B, Mn deficiencies. All signs of too much P. I also won't be using happy frog for a base this time. Think that's it for now. Hope everyone is good! Sent from the future
Perfection . Nice job man . Looking forward to seeing these fly Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Thanks man, its truly appreciated! Wanted to see how the smaller amount of water every other day was holding up. They both took a full gallon without a drop of run off, so ill water a gallon every other day for now. Figure they're drinking heavy right now anyways. Had to pull a few tops down to level the canopy. Also started lollipopping, will work my way around the plants a little every few days. Had to raise the lights a few clicks also, somewhere around 22" between glass and canopy now All in all growing strong! Sent from the future
