A SWEET New Toking tool for the stealthy

  1. Alright GC, so here's the deal. I found a little something online on a DIY website that I thought could help me solve a problem I've been having. |

I happen to live at home and commute to college and I was sick of having to go to my bathroom to smoke and exhale into the vents or out the window. I'm lazy as fuck when it comes to certain things and I wanted to be able to smoke in the comfort and sanctity of my own room. I also wanted a good way to keep my room smelling normally without using excessive amounts of Febreeze, incense, or by blowing it out my room window.

What I came upon was a home made mini fume extractor that is used to suck harmful smoke from solder and flux away from people's faces while they work on projects. I figured that it could have a dual purpose, and if I of all people could make it, and that it worked, that I had to share it with the City.

I just finished making it about an hour ago and just smoked 2 minutes ago using the finished product along with a 8 arm triple percolated inline I made (props to Kalec for that beastly masterpiece.)

It hits like a champ, and the fume extractor is great, its the bee's knees! Item nine! There isn't a scent in my room from weed at ALL. :hello:

I'm going to post just a few pics of my finished product and post the links to the instructions on how to make them as well.

*Just one point I would like to emphasize, which is the main focus of the tool, those of you who are going to build it can't just use any filter, you need a filter that has activated carbon in it, easily found at a pet shop that carries stuff for fish. *
    Happy Toking!

  2. Omg that sounds nice but do you think there's a way to do it without a soldering iron because I don't got any :p But good post ! :)

  3. Extremely inventive, leave it to a secretive stoner to build a specialized "mini fume extractor" haha awesome job man

  4. crimps my man, hell if you don't move it too much you could get away with just electro tape

  5. this is really badass man, good job :hello:
    stay lifted bro

  6. im fuckin baked right now and that thing just seems like the coolest home project invention thing i have ever seen

  7. That is awesome idea, and looks like it would work very well. I wanna see some videos of it in action with you smoking it.

  8. thats fucking sweet....i may have to build one this week :D

  9. That is fucken rad. I would love to watch a video of it in action, and I think next time I get lifted I'll probably try to build it :)

    Thanks.

  10. Thanks alot guys, unfortunately the only way I know how to solder w/o using a soldering iron back when i didn't have one was to wrap the solder around the wires, and then light a flame under it, it works well, but honestly a cheap soldering iron from radioshack or even a local home improvement store like Home Depot or Lowes has them between 8-14 bucks, real easy. Thanks for the feedback guys!
Edit: I'll post some vids of me using the device soon.

  11. thats fucking sick. im down for anything DIY.

  12. its super badass but im way to faded to make something that mechanical hahaha!

  13. Cool little project, dude. You're just like that guy MacGyver, only your inventions get you stoned instead of help other people solve problems :smoking::smoking:I really like the idea of using the carbon as a cheap filter.

You know, I might give this a try myself. I have a soldering iron, but I usually reserve it for lighting bowls in my bubbler. :bongin: It might be cool to see how well it actually works. Sweet.

    peace

  14. Thats fucking sick man! Nice invention, stoners think up the coolest shit.

  15. um why not just buy a small battery operated fan??

Now the dude that was talking about adding a carbon filter to the idea..... now were talking. Mini carbon filter fan would be tight.

  16. It does have a carbon filter dumbass

  17. thats bad ass...

  18. I don't quite understand what this is or how it works... but you sir are a Macguyver-type and I applaud you for it. :hello:

  19. +rep, very innovative

  20. That little thing is fucking awesome. If I had a soldering iron, I would make one haha
