I am making a home made piece with a part from a pipe I used to have. The piece was a long gandalfish pipe, where you could unscrew the bowl. I am trying to make a steamroller with it, but my problem is the bottom of the bowl is a nut shape, and then as you go up it makes an hourglass, so it goes nut - hourglass - bowl. Therefore I can't simply burn a hole in plastic because once it is through it will be loose. Basically what I'm asking is what can I use as sealant for the let that the bowl has that won't be unsafe? I was thinking rubber bands or something like that if I could possibly make it tight, but I am looking more for something like glue that would completely seal it and make it sturdy. Thanks. Don't tell me to buy pieces please, because I have a bunch, I'm just messing around.
I would use a high temp non toxic glue gun. But I would also try to make a small heatsink on the bowl to help disperse heat faster, you dont want to burn up whatever it is to seal your pipe
I've used gorilla glue in the past for my homemade pieces. Just make sure you follow the directions otherwise you wont get a good bond.
For situations like this I use hemp string and cover it with beeswax or hemp seal used for bagpipes. I play the bagpipes and we use hemp on the joints to keep the pieces of the drones together.
