so I went to home depot today just for fun and ended up making a barebones hardware piece, complete with carb, very large bowl, and rubber mouthpiece. all the pieces (including a mouthpiece I cut out of a baby ear cleaner [not previously used, don't worry]): the pipe and T connector screwed together: my bowl and carb: straight. completed thing without the mouthpiece: the whole thing, about 8.5" long: everything's steel and chrome, except the carb, which is brass but shouldn't get too hot anyway. now I just need a screen for that bowl and I'm ready to try it out. assembles and disassembles in seconds. what do you guys think?
ok so I just tried this thing out with cloves and tea leaves (lol I know). it has a fair amount of control with the carb. the bowl def needs a screen because things fall right through its hole. nothing gets hot at all so far, though this is light smoking.
nice i like the ingenuity sometimes when me and my freinds are really baked we try to make a smoking contraption but we always need that 1 extra peice and say we gonna get it tommorow and never do. i like the bowl though +rep
haha i love seeing some of the crafty homemade pipes people come up with. I made a pretty funny lookin one out of a highlighter and a socket.
Nice homemade, the carb is most effective if it's on the side of the bowl though. Maybe try drilling a hole in the side of it and just cap the end somehow? And remember to use a pipe screen with that big opening! I'm just offering advice though, nice craftiness!
haha I've been there many times before. normally the only thing me and my friends actually end up getting the next day is a sack from krystal. I will! ooh let's see it thanks, man! yeah I'm getting a pipe screen soon, possibly today. I tried to come up with a side carb at home depot, but they only had T-connections, sadly. I thought about drilling but I'm not so sure about metal shards in my piece they do have straight-up caps I could get to turn it into a pipe, though.
whats you could do is asy fuck the carb, rake the copper colored piece off where u made the carb and use it as a steamroller.
I'll have to try that sometime. the advantage of this thing is versatility. and the fact that if I wanted to, all these pieces could go towards a hardware bong, or bubbler, or for $4 it can be a foot and a half long...
yah but nothing compares with smoking out of a clean nice gong. looks good though, if it will hold weed and direct its smoke to my mouth i will use it
hahaha true and true. I do have a nice clean glass bowl. this was just for fun. which reminds me, this may not be related to the thread, but I've got about $100 to spend on something nice and portable. anybody have any recommendations?
also if anybody has a piece like this, or just something they made that they're proud of, I'd love to see it!
