I don't completely disagree with you Richierich but the phx honeycomb disc is the greatest fail disc in the world. Shit uses MAYBE 10 holes at a time. That matrix disc uses damn near all of it (NOT ALL) but damn near and diffuses a shit ton better (by the looks.) I agree, that no, it was not as mind blowing as the Matrix and Reti's of last year, but I think it was an awesome innovation to the Oil world. I don't smoke much errl (Because of no connects, working on 2 for legit errl as we speak) but I also know Mobius is a diffusion beast. Maybe he was trying to expand his customer base alittle? If so, i'm thinking this is a step in the right direction. He may be onto something, it seems like a LOT of diffusion for a single chamber with one disc but I feel like the fact that is IS a single chamber and just one disc it may help to preserve flavor? Wish I knew about the whole Oil smoking than I do. I wish he had saved the Stereo and Shower matrix's for the 420 release. Maybe the 4th design will be a similar design for flowers. I would LOVE to see a Stereo Reti, if that would even be worth it to do.

Hey everyone, pretty new to the forums (I think this is post #1) but thought I'd drop in and share my thoughts on the new Mobius discs. I scooped up the Penta Disc at AqLT's on 4/20 and love it! I got a nail and dome to use it as a dedicated oil rig and am super impressed with it. It stacks great, doesn’t over filter and still gives you perfect taste. I'll see if I can make a decent video with my shitty digital camera and get that up. Here are a few pics for the masses:
I lowered the water level to 1mm above the disk like some suggested and it is much better. It feels like it diffuses much better and more of the perc fires. Welcome to the never ending debate, Iv'e played around with the water level since I got it and each has it's ups and downs for taste vs drag and stacking (I agree it was a little over filled in that vid though)
Recently bought a Mobius Stereo Matrix 60mm. This is a great piece- tons of filtration. As I was waiting for my piece to arrive, I was doing some research on this perc, and realized there are actually two different versions of it. One of them, the middle disc that separates the two matrix percs is gridded instead of solid. IMO, this is not a good design, as it simply allows the smoke/bubbles to bypass the two matrix percs, and simply go through the disc that is in between the two matrix percs. I've seen some youtube videos that show it doing just that; the only time that the matrix percs appear to have any function is when you pull very hard during the clear, which won't really help you much. The one I purchased does not have this; it has a solid disc, which forces the smoke/bubbles to go though both matrix percs 100% of the time. At first I thought maybe the differences in percs were based on which design the piece was, eg. 60/65mm, taller design, male/female joint, etc., but then I soon learned that they make both perc designs in the same style I have, with no other variations.
