^^ your right man. it usually only "fires" from the back grids. but give me a couple of days im going to be making bho. and with the less drag step up you have all the top grids "firing". filters like crazy with no drag.

and ya i no about the water is high that was a video i took with in the first month i got the piece. but i got it to my liking now.

 

and your kinda wrong at the same time bro. the airflow is restricted to the size of holes in the bowl. the 18 or 29 would make a difference if the bud is packed tight and the hole is small in the bowl. feel me??

but with an oil rig you have the least amount of air restriction out of any smoking device giving you the most airflow.

the only bowls that wouldnt limit this would be like a phx honeycomb 18mm

 

Your right on that, I had that included in the original post but got rid of it because I thought I was ranting.

I wasn't knocking on the matrix's function, but it COULD function better. I really like the way Mobius went with his perc style, very unique.

I have seen videos of Matrix bub's stacking as high as possible, and then I see some where only half of the perc is really bubbling. Is this because the people posting the videos are holding the piece at an angle, or does Mobius have a problem with crooked percs?

 

I would give mobius the benefit of the doubt and say that there's a possibility that some people were using dirty water in their videos, so it would stack more. The way the perc is designed i don't think that tilting it would affect it if it was straight to begin with.

 

it also depends on the slide (how is the airflow, a DD will likely cause a perc to function more fully I would think as opposed to a push hole since there is more airflow) and how hard the person is hitting

 

Yea I get what your saying, but I feel they kinda fixed this flaw with the stereo matrix. With the original design on the bubbler, the smoke came down the stem, and because it was so gridded on top, the smoke didn't need to use the other grids to escape, and therefore only the top grids fired constantly. But with splitting the matrix perc, so its 80 holes on top, and 80 on bottom, with the bottom holes used as an implosion effect. Really allows for a better explosion effect on the top holes, spreading out the smoke into different holes. When i use my ETR 3 hole slide I can get about 80% of the holes in the top to fire constantly. When just dry pulling on it, the top rows fire constantly while the other holes either switch off firing, or dont fire at all. It's like you need just the right amount of drag, and you can make that thing fire on all cylinders . But if not used correctly you can definitely end up with A LOTT of holes not being used on top.

 

I agree with rasta, the stereo matrix is amazing, stacks like a beast. The only thing I don't like about it is the neck.
Just bad timing really, I already have a bunch of tubes like that and wanted a bigger tube.

Got the Strato Matrix man... customized it with my double sided 4slit gridded stem and dd slide. Hits like a dream!

I am friggin so happy to post that I just received my new Mobius Stemless 60t Shower Matrix in the post today! After a quick cleaning and some dinner, I'm finally sitting down to medicate with her and I gotta say, it's niiice. Very smooth little glass chalice here. The height and levels seem to be just perfect. Not too short or tall. And oh yeah, she STACKS bubbles as this kids say. I'll probably have some pics up later tonight/tomorrow. Peace!

There is definitely a great deal of flavor lost on the stereo matrix. I took a couple dabs out of a friends stereo matrix, that same one tokedaddyslim used in his video, and I struggled to taste anything at all. I have no idea why this guy uses the matrix as his daily rig out of all the pieces in his collection. He claims it's cause he "likes to take fat dabs"

 

Yea i can't see this tube being used for dabs. I mean maybe for shits n giggles and you want to take a magweedo style dab lol. I use it for flowers and i can definitely taste the difference between it and a stemline. It's not too noticeable, and for how smooth it is, doesn't bother me one bit.

 

I wouldn't know about the Stereo Matrix, but I've dabbed using my Meso Matrix and it, if anything, helped bring out the flavor by making the vapor smoother. Maybe the stereo is overkill? I've only medicated using flowers with my Stemless Shower and I'm quickly falling in love with her.

I will say that I always thought the Matrix's alleged misfires were rumors or people not misunderstanding the perc or something, but I water tested a Matrix Ion Bubbler (I think it was the Ion, it had the flat round base) and it actually only fired properly when you tilted it slightly! So Circle isn't a God - just a good dude with some killer skills and normally excellent products.

 

That's fucking sick! Get some milk up here when you can or at least a water test

VERY smooth. I'd say it probably hits smoother and with less effort than my Meso, but it's a little smaller so that might effect it too, the design definitely does.

I did record a milk video, but it was my first time and I need a little bit more practice and maybe a helping hand to get a good one done up - BUT I will.

So Circle leaked a little blurb the other day about Mobius coming out with a whole new type of percolator. Any one care to speculate on what he's got in store for us after the (imo excellent) Matrix?
