Hi all - I recently picked up the Stereo Matrix Limited 60t[/B]. I'm lucky, one of the few store fronts that sells Mobius coincidentally is walking distance to my pad. If things arent going my way now, they never will! Anyway, its freaking dope and I love it. However, there seems to be mixed opinions on where the water level should be relative to the percs. After blazing repeatedly, I thus far have the best experience with the water lever appox 1/2 of the way up the second perc (the top perc). Also, the piece fits perfectly in the side of my small refrigerator...so I've been blazing with the entire single piece cooled. Its been bomb so far, best in my 15 years of chillaxing with Mary. But I want to make the most of this fantastic and highly functional piece, as I use it for both flowers as well as concentrates. I now see no reason to have two pieces, especially with ease of cleaning. What say you Mobius experts about how I can get the most out of this outstanding piece of glass? I'm open to all suggestions! MJR

So from the video it's looking like about 1/2 way up the second perk then for smoothest hit? Anybody proponents of ash catchers or filters or additional percs/diffusers? From my perspective thus far the piece hits clean naked - but I haven't added anything other then concentrate attatchments. C'mon all I know you people have goodies attached to these beasts. Whatever works for you all let me know! Mjr
Not really. I know I've never put an A/C on my matrix... doesn't work. The water pressures and levels don't balance out after a hit, so you're left with half of the water in your A/C stuck up inside it's downstem... and half of the water that was in the bottom matrix stuck in the top one. Plus in my opinion, putting an ashcatcher on a stereo matrix is a sin! Why mess with the perfection that is that percolation & stackage??? What I HAVE been looking for is a carbon catcher for it, to help keep it clean. As for the water level, can't comment on your 60t, but on my 65, the water sits at its ideal level JUUUUUUUUUUUUUST at the top row of the matrix, that way the water in the stem and the lower chamber come in, and fill it up properly, with just that extra couple of drops to give you the full stack. However, it works perfectly well at the middle of the matrix as well, just not gonna get that extra inch of bubbly. Good Growing and Happy Toking!
Go for the mcfinns dude, I have both the shorter carbon filter and the ultra carbon filter for mine, works like a charm. The beauty is even the MONSTER of the ultra carbon filter sits nicely. and is not too high where you feel like your going to burn your face off. I just got my matrix a couple days ago, and have been playing with water levels. I have found with mine just a tad below where you are talking is the sweet spot. cheers man! and no A/Cs. I took a couple rips on camera with an ac and carbon filter just to laugh lol. exactly as you point out with the matrix it just doesn't seem to work well.
Yeah, I'm trying to get a custom one made, but failing that I'll get a mcfinns. Heard good things about their adapters and carbon. Yeah stereo's and designs similar to it's double chamber-age don't really work well with A/Cs because they don't have anywhere go the air to go free you're done hitting it. Good Growing and Happy Toking!
Yup Yup, I have only had mcfinn's and im really impressed with the airflow. Man, do they get filthy. It's unreal how much its saves your lungs. Not to mention cleaner glass.
In my glass browsing- which is a decent amount. I have never seen a Female carbon filter. Although it's totally feasable. I guess cause most male joints are thought of for use with a nail? I would hit up and artist dude. I don't see a reason it couldn't be done. Not to mention if they're trying it for the first time they'll prob hook it up on the cheap or free wanting feedback-- not a bad deal. (EDIT: my 420th post)!!!!
You dont see female filters cause that means ur using carbon on a erl rig, but theres deff tubes like yours thats great for both. Hit up apix design for a custom one. Dan does great work for the money. And his disk diffused filters have greeeat airflow. Hiiiighly reccomend him.
if you don't want to do that, the other option is to simply get a female to male adaptor and a male slide for the top of the filter. kind of complex stacking glass like that.... i personally don't recommend it but it's a workable option...
Word, I have the diamond disk which I use for oil but it's my only piece at the moment so I have a wilson disc bowl for flowers too... Not even a big enough deal to get an adapter, it's a shorty piece kind of and that would make for a weird balance I think.
Good pick up mag! You're like the only person who doesn't put water levels above the perc or at the top of it, never understood that since waters going to get pulled in and fill the percs. Justin Thats a sick beaker, never seen a mobius beaker before!
A couple snaps from the other night, still trying to get the perfect water level. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCHqC06DxMQ&feature=plcp]Mobius Stereo Matrix 60t - YouTube[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xnIDwfPFAw&feature=plcp]Stereo Matrix - YouTube[/ame]
