I had the great idea one day to try my hand at making a pipe with 2 bowls. I have the covers so you can pack it and stick it in your pocket, and so that the airflow isn't too weird with 2 bowls. I'm pretty happy with it. Right now there's honey and ash drying in the bowls to help make the cake in them before I try to smoke it. What do you guys think?
Id like to make a wood pipe, im mostly concerned with what type of wood to use? I have a thing to carve the bowls out with, but what type of wood is best/safe?

Me and my friend tested it out, it works but just needs to be broken in more. Definently got some wood taste to it haha
lol just make sure you dont set your pipe on fire lol that might indeed be that wood taste your getting XD
you can season the bowls using honey. smear honey on the inside of the bowl and burn the honey into it with youre lighter. Also this will mak the next few bowls you pack taste sweet!
Treated wood has horrible chemicals that you shouldn't burn in a camp fire, let alone smoke out of. I would get wood from a forest.
The last wooden pipe I had I boiled it in water with vanilla extract and a vanilla bean or two...its made the taste AMAZING! Just an idea
