I have since learned that sprouting the seeds in a paper towel is not the best way to start seedlings. I also tried soaking the seedlings in water until they sprouted. Then placing the sprouted seedlings into the jiffy peat moss plugs. I was really lucky that I got anything to the seedling state as this method tends to kill the seeds. I had about a 50% success rate. A more reliable method is to just plant the seeds into a solo cup with a good potting mix and keep them moist. In about 3 - 4 days the seeds will sprout. I was just able to sprout 10 out of 10 of my latest batch of seedlings. I had to throw out a batch of 10 Afgan Kush seeds when their roots spiralled in the paper towel and they never really straightened out in teh soil. All of them were weak and eventually the stretched out stems fell over under the weight of their tinly leaves.
